WHAT I LOOK FOR IN A TRAVEL BLANKET

I’ve read countless (and horrifying) travel reports about the frequency of washing airline blankets and long ago I decided to take matters into my own hands. The right blanket helps keep me warm and cozy for a quick nap and in a pinch can double as a pillow if you get caught at the airport waiting for a delayed flight.

Bringing your own blanket while flying is duly convenient because not only do you get to enjoy it during your flight, but you’ve got a blanket ready to go wherever you find yourself on your trip!  I’ve acquired a number of blankets perfect for travel over the years, and whether they’re cost-effective or a bit of a splurge, I look for travel blankets that are: soft, durable, and stylish!

Vera Bradley Fleece Travel Blanket $40

The Vera Bradley Fleece Travel Blanket in Pretty Posies is soft, affordable, and folds into a pillow! I love that their foundation gives back to Breast Cancer Research, and that this particular blanket is available in a few fun prints.

UGG Women’s Duffield Travel Set Soft Pouch $97.95

Part of the Ugg home collection, this set is soft, machine washable, and ready to go! This set features a closure that makes it easy to throw in my carry-on or oversized purse.

Barney’s New York Cashmere Travel Throw + Eye Mask $395

This fine-gauge knit cashmere is buttery soft and comes with an eye mask – so it won’t even matter if you get a window seat! This blanket is dry-clean only, but does feature a convenient carrying case and who doesn’t love a good cashmere nap?

Travel Companion Set, Personalized $199

This set is ultra-soft, adorable, and includes a pillow! This set can also be personalized, making it just as cute to carry as your travel on plus makes a great gift!

I could shop for travel accessories like this all day & night… but for some reason, I’m feeling a bit sleepy. Now, where’s my blanket?
