Boca Raton Resort and Beach Club, A Waldorf Astoria Resort is what I endearingly refer to as a “unicorn” resort. By this, I mean it has somehow found the perfect balance to be a fully restorative, healthful, relaxing experience for me and an exciting, memorable, and favorite destination for my entire family.
This special property is home to three unique properties:
Boca Raton Resort & Club – a classic and beautiful resort, exactly what you’d expect of a Waldorf Astoria property. Yacht Club at the Boca Raton Resort – the newest addition including newly renovated rooms with a beachy vibe never letting you forget you’re just a stone’s throw from the ocean.
Each property within the resort boasts something spectacular for virtually any guest and with the Waldorf Astoria charm, you know you’re going to be well taken care of no matter what corner of the property you find yourself exploring. I could go on and on in great detail about every special amenity offered at the Boca Raton Resort and Beach Club, A Waldorf Astoria Resort, but they do a great job right here! Instead, I’d like to share some of the Pronger-family favorites from our most recent visit.
Keeping Busy at the Boca Beach Club
I feel like it’s only right to mention the FlowRider Wave Simulator so soon in this blog! I couldn’t keep my kids off of the paddle board! It was so much fun watching them gain their confidence in a controlled environment and being able to cheer them on. Of course, Chris and I had to try – but we weren’t nearly as skilled at this as the kids were when we departed.
When we could pry the kids away from the action of the FlowRider, we took full advantage of access to the private half-mile beach. Knowing there was a skilled lifeguard on hand helped me and Chris be able to relax a bit more and enjoy our time with the kids (read: burying the wildest ones in the sand so we’d have a moment of rest!)
Boating, deep sea fishing, tennis, golf, and surfing were all on the menu and enjoyed every bit of it. Our boys had their first experience reeling in “sea monsters” bigger than they were and mom and Lilah stayed back at the resort to soak in the shopping and amenities. Chris and the boys were thrilled to have had the opportunity to catch a 10 foot, 400 lb Hammerhead shark during this trip!
Fit Options at the Boca Raton Resort and Beach Club
I loved that it was incredibly easy to stay active outdoors and on the go at the resort and that they also offered some regimented classes, too. I was able to pop in to Beach Health Club OrangeTheory Pop-In Studio for “the best 1-hour workout in the world.” Of course, it did not disappoint. After a full hour of focusing on myself and my health, I felt I was better able to enjoy everything else the resort had to offer and be more present with my family! This option is uber convenient for anyone who’d like a “gym-style” workout while vacationing but they don’t want to have to rearrange their schedule for classes only offered at certain times. That being said – I was sure to try a Saturday morning Gravity + Oxygen class, because it’d been on my bucket list as soon as we made our reservations (and it was just $20)!
Pampering, Relaxation, and Girl Time at the Waldorf Astoria Spa
There’s something special about a spa that’s so well orchestrated you feel relaxed and restored before even experiencing your scheduled treatments. This spa was modeled off of a gorgeous Spanish palace and the extra ornate touches throughout do it justice! The spa has a deep Spanish influence but uses locally sourced plants, minerals, and other ingredients to create rich and effective treatments you’ll be hard pressed to find other places.
I absolutely adored the Ayurvedic Balance & Restore treatment. Over three hours of a specialty ritual bath followed by a Shankara Abhyanga Massage, a Rose Quartz Ayurvedic Facial, and Shirodhara Scalp Ritual. Remembering this treatment literally gives me goosebumps!
If you’ve only got time for a facial, give the Organic Wellness Facial by Eminence® a try – go for the upgrade and enjoy extra massage time – you’re worth it! I loved the extra long scalp, neck, and shoulder massage.

Knowing that my children will look back on their lives and remember these times the way I do with my own parents is better than any luxurious spa treatment I could dream of – but I’ll settle for both.
