The vibrance of Miami's South Beach has met its match with Faena Hotel's glamorous interior and robust use of color from floor to ceiling. This luxury destination complements the energy and excitement that can only be found in the heart of Miami. The perfect spot for a girl's weekend getaway, my friends and I packed our bags and headed South for an extended weekend in the Florida sun. Faena Hotel's location is ideal for a girl's trip, couples getaway, or bachelor/bachelorette party--after all, you simply cannot beat the nightlife in South Beach!
My suite was a colorful throwback to the Art Deco era, full of vibrant red hues and oceanic blues. The room was extremely spacious while still feeling cozy and overlooked the beachfront--a view I looked forward to waking up to daily. The nod to 1950’s design carries out through the entire property, even down to their very own Faena Theater. Their gilded theater sets the mood nightly for their famous cabaret performances-- something you must add to your agenda.
I kicked off every morning by moving my body in their incredible Tierra Santa fitness center, where the girls and I met for group yoga. After sweating it out, we lounged on the white-sands of Faena Miami Beach with a cocktail in hand--an essential part of every girl's trip! If the beach isn't your thing, their gorgeous pool surrounded by candy-striped umbrellas offers poolside cabanas where you can order bottle service through your own dedicated pool butler.
The Tierra Santa Healing House is Faena Hotel's prestigious spa, where I could truly spend an entire vacation! The spa itself is a work of art, featuring detailed botanical murals along the walls and layered textures of natural stone and wood finishes throughout the rooms. You simply cannot go wrong with your selection from their extensive spa menu, but my personal favorites were the Pranic Healing, Palo Santo and Sound Bowls treatment--a cleansing of the chakras, followed by a purification with Palo Santo smoke, and finally a sound bowl technique used to quiet your mind, as well as the Masaje con Flor Blanca--a massage utilizing heated volcanic lava rocks with orange blossom essential oil to release tension, calm the nerves, and encourage lymphatic drainage.
Dining at Faena Hotel's Los Fuegos by Francis Mallman was a highlight of our trip. Led by South America's most beloved chef, this open-fire kitchen offers rustic yet sophisticated dishes in a room dripping with unrivaled glamour. I savored the beets "Al Rescoldo" carpaccio and octopus "A La Plancha" to start, followed by the Mediterranean branzino, and finished with the toasted almond pavlova. To start your days, I highly recommend breakfast at The Veranda, where you'll find a feast for your eyes just as much as your tastebuds. I recommend trying the mango granola parfait, avocado toast, and huevos rancheros. By nightfall, we dressed up and enjoyed live music at The Living Room, an upscale lounge serving bespoke cocktails amidst an elevated jungle-esque vibe.
The energy of South Beach is palpable from the moment you step off the plane and carries over into the five-star service Faena Hotel provides. Prepare to be seduced by the swanky nightlife, incredible culture, pristine beaches, and world-renowned cuisine of Miami!
