  • MONTAGE, LAGUNA BEACH, CALIFORNIA

Any time your vacation getaway is paired with the fresh Pacific Coastal air you can bet it’s going to be good for your soul. We’ve all heard the benefits of time spent by the sea and I truly believe that as a Midwestern girl there’s a balance that comes a little time spent by the beach, and in the mountains, and among the cornfields. Montage Laguna Beach offers a totally enriching experience for us landlocked Prongers – giving us breathtaking views and all the sunshine and serenity that’s needed for a totally transformative trip. There’s no shortage of wellness events and opportunities, these special offerings paired with the numerous sun soaked recreational classes and excursions are fuel for the soul! My entire family loves to travel to Montage Laguna Beach properties and I find these resorts to be equally peaceful and enchanting when it’s just Chris and me traveling together. Because we had the pleasure of living in the area for over three years, we have so many beautiful memories and friends that bring us back to Southern California several times a year. This special region will always be dear to our hearts as Chris won the Stanley Cup here as part of the Anaheim Ducks, a moment only surprised by the birth of our baby girl Lilah! Making Your Montage Getaway Planning our activities with wellness in mind isn’t hard to do when we’re gearing up for a Montage vacation. The Laguna Beach locale offers a variety of activities for my sea-loving boys including whale watching, sailing, and sportfishing. Our whole family can’t get enough standup paddle boarding, bike tours, golfing, and snorkeling excursions! Beyond the vast healthy living finds, though, there’s an assortment of family beach and water fun. The concierge can easily connect you with all of the regional theme parks the kids love and a burst of adrenaline from your favorite rides can certainly get your heart pumping. Spending all day at the theme parks and returning to the peace and serenity of the Laguna Beach resort is certainly a juxtaposition of experiences you won’t find in just any vacation. Health and Wellness at Montage Montage properties are renowned for their emphasis on healthy living – nourishing your body, mind, and soul. Between educational and spiritual experiences on the pacific you’re able to indulge in the many treatments exclusively available at Montage Laguna Beach. The spa is unlike any other on the West Coast; pairing the modern advances of fitness and wellness with timeless practices of the region and across the world. Spa offerings far exceed what you’d dream of for a healthy retreat. When you enter the Laguna beach Spa Montage it’s clear they’ve thoughtfully orchestrated a soothing experience. Valmont products are used to execute facial therapies helping you achieve smoother, healthier looking skin practically immediately! Full body services of an assortment of massages and mineral-infusing wraps are ready to sweep you away to a whole other world! Waiting and resting before and between treatments is just as peaceful as the treatments, too! The spa has beautiful views of the Pacific and a heartwarming staff eager to serve you and your every need. My favorite spa picks include the Body Firming Detox Wrap, Seven Flower Ritual, and The Masterpiece (it’s truly a work of art!) A special spa experience can be crafted just for you as part of the Elements series. Here at Laguna Beach Spa Montage a spa professional learns more about your health and wellness goals during an in-depth consultation. After your consultation you’re paired with spa experts such as Master Massage Therapists who perform a balanced assortment of treatments creating a lavish and healing stay at Spa Montage. A Feast for the Senses In addition to private dining opportunities where you can celebrate exclusively with an intimate party of two or your closest fifty friends, Montage Laguna Beach shares the skillful passion of inspired chefs at Studio, The Loft, and Mosaic Bar and Grille. Three very unique spots housed in harmony on the property give you a well-rounded culinary experience during your stay. Studio’s sweeping Pacific views, mouthwatering cuisine, and unmatched service draw Chris and I back to celebrate special occasions including our anniversaries. Indulgent spots like this favorite restaurant of ours make every day a celebration – so even if we’re not in the area for our special moments, we find a reason for a special date night. It’s easy to keep your healthy eating goals in check while staying at this Laguna Beach- property as the resident chefs source farm fresh ingredients and focus on the rich offerings of the region while creating menus. Seafood, fruits, and veggies were the stars on most of my plates – and true to Montage hospitality, I was tempted with a handcrafted dessert nearly every evening. Upholding the pristine standards of Montage, the Laguna Beach property has been completely restored and I look forward to returning to the newly reimagined oceanside spaces very soon! • BLACKBERRY FARM, WALLAND, TENNESSEE

It was late spring and Chris and I were ready for an escape to the mountains! But, where do you go when you want a mountain view, luxurious spa treatments, a focus on wellness, and fly fishing? Blackberry Farm, of course! The Trip We were looking for something off the beaten path that shared all of the amenities we love about luxury and wellness travel. A gem at the foothills of The Great Smoky Mountains, Blackberry Farm was a favorite pick among our group of friends we’d be traveling with, so we made it our destination of choice! Departing from the Chesterfield Airport, we arrived to Alcoa, Tennessee just a quick two hours later. The beauty of traveling to Tennessee by plane from our St. Louis home is that you feel a world away but you don’t have to account for an entire day of travel! The Food and Drinks at Blackberry Farm Greeted with a scrumptious and well-rounded lunch at the Main House, it was easy to feel right at home at Blackberry Farm. With just enough time to relax, unpack, and savor our new location, we kicked off our three-night getaway with a Just Reds Wine Tasting followed by Dinner at The Barn. There’s no shortage of Artisan Cooking Demonstrations and specialty classes if you’d like to get hands-on with your meal preparation. These laid back classes were wonderfully informative but relaxed enough that you could enjoy a glass of wine and never miss a beat with the skilled chef’s instructions. Dinner at the Dogwood and drinks across the property to enjoy the varied breathtaking views were on the menu during our stay. Blackberry Farm’s home to three inspired Executive Chefs including Cassidee Dabney, Sarah Steffan, Bonnie Moore and Sommelier Andy Chabot. It’s clear there’s a strong focus on regional cuisine and locally grown and harvested vegetables, fish, and meat and you can literally taste the vibrance of each beautifully paired dish. The endless amounts of fun at Blackberry Farm Fly fishing outings, specially coordinated tastings, concerts featuring headliners, and summertime adventures are abound at Blackberry Farms. This property is the perfect balance of wellness-centric seclusion and a welcoming event space. Our group of guys loved their fly fishing outing and Chris was more than happy to spend a few hours away from the world in a mountainside stream. Our entire group gave their best Annie Oakley impressions during a group clay shoot. Careful instruction and supervision, this type of simple fun (and healthy competition) is good for the soul! I love to take advantage of any activity – especially the physical ones – that allow me to do more than what’s offered in my every day routine at home. I truly feel that your life is immeasurably enhanced when you get out of your comfort zone, try something new, and learn from those who are passionate about what they do! Picking the Best Wellness Offerings at Blackberry Farm My girlfriends and I took complete advantage of our men’s absence and booked a spa day while they were fly fishing. I requested the Lavender and Vanilla Bourbon Body Drench followed by the Collagen Renewal Facial for a full-body treat in the Smokies. Fitness and wellness opportunities feel endless because they are! There’s a variety of self improvement sessions that focus on journaling and mindfulness, indoor group fitness classes like ZUMBA, Barre, HIIT, yoga and more. Blackberry Farm’s Wellhouse serves a side of fresh air with their fitness offerings too, including aerobic guided hikes, trail runs, mountain biking, and farm fit. You’re able to choose exactly what you want to experience for a totally transformative getaway. I love the Blackberry Farm and Wellhouse approach to homegrown wellness. The balanced approach to nutrition, exercise, and pampering spa treatments I found here created the ultimate wellness experience while sharing all of the laid back charm of your favorite family getaway. • MII AMO & ENCHANTMENT, SEDONA, ARIZONA

Sisters below the Warrior Rock and Kachina Woman, hugged between the red rocks of Sedona, Enchantment and Mii amo rest together. Two very different complementary experiences are shared by these luxurious escapes, both properties serving to welcome and enhance the lives of all who enter. Guests are immediately greeted and cloaked in Juniper beads, a source of protection and guidance. The mighty Juniper trees that surround you here are nearly as strong as the love, passion, and excitement these properties inspire! You’ll hear the phrase, “Ya-ha-say,” or “you are welcome here,” during your time at either Mii amo or Enchantment. Mii amo’s divine grounds emphasize wellness and a more adult setting as Enchantment is what I believe to be a fabulous option for solo travel, couples, friends, or older families to visit. The warmth of the special welcome ringing across the rocks during your stay reminds you that where you are is exactly where you’re supposed to be. As part of my Well Inspired Travels inspiration, I seek to find the best in wellness retreats and healthy travel. When I find places like Mii amo or Enchantment it feels serendipitous to see these words shared at the resort, “Wisdom only comes when you stop looking for it and start living the life the Creator intended for you.” This Hopi proverb speaks to me as I feel that God has designed a world that’s meant to be explored and that my soul is happiest and healthiest when I’m mindfully living in the moment wherever life takes me. Breathe, Stretch, Explore in Sedona The kind and knowledgeable staff at both Enchantment and Mii amo are ready to help you make the most of your stay in Sedona– firmly believing that the striking red rocks, winding trails, and breathtaking landscapes are meant to be explored. Traveling with my mom and daughter, we included a variety of outdoor activities into this fantastic trip! In Sedona, early morning hikes, trail rides, yoga, golf, and meditation are among the most popular ways to get moving on and off the grounds. I was lucky enough to try the Hike the Red Rocks and the Boynton Canyon Vortex Hike. Both properties offer so many unique ways to experience the desert landscape so whether you’re looking for a physical challenge, spiritual change, or geological teachings you can find it all! Each guide we met was so enchanting that it was easy to forget just how hard you were working to keep climbing and progressing across the trail. Cultural Experiences Paying homage to the rich history that came before these luxe properties, both Mii amo and Enchantment share an array of classes and activities stemmed from Native American Heritage. Mii amo & Enchantment’s Hike the Red Rocks was a top pick for us, our guide Robin combined environmental studies’ findings with the soulful stories and beliefs of the five tribes that came before us. Native American Flute sessions, Chanting, and Morning Rituals in the Crystal Grotto are just a few of the heartfelt tributes to The Navajo and Western Apache. During this special exploration I was able to visit the Sedona Peace Park, or Amitabha Stupa Peace Park, for the very first time! A haven for peace, prayer, and meditative moments, I learned of the prayer flags here. While you’re deep in prayer and focused, your prayers are picked up by the wind and radiated across the world as the wind blows through the fabric. Wind-snapped flags make the soundtrack to one of the most peaceful experiences of your life here. Enchantment and Mii amo are next to an awe-inspiring Medicine Wheel, a sacred symbol of life comprised of seven stones. Walking through the winding wheel you’re invited to seek guidance, healing, and clarity. This meditative experience helps those searching find a deeper peace and confidence within themselves. It was an honor and privilege to walk this path! At Enchantment you’ll find special celebrations for the equinoxes and conservation classes available upon request. Both properties work to educate travelers of the profound wisdom shared by Native American tribes and take great care in respecting both the grounds and the culture. Vortexes in Sedona Before taking this spiritual journey I knew very little about vortices (vortexes) and their significance in the Native American and Southwestern cultures. Vortices are spiritual epicenters – a place on the Earth that’s thought to be bursting with healing, focused energy. It’s said that all of Sedona is a vortex and to stand on one, pray, and immerse yourself in the moment is unspeakably moving. A Southwestern Spin on Health Each meal we savored while in Sedona was incredibly healthy and full of Southwestern flare. Harmonious spices, sizzling combinations of vegetables and tender meats, and perfectly ripened seasonal fruits were all in abundance. I could have dined at Mii amo Café for every meal! Bites and canyon views pair together perfectly – and knowing that most of the produce is grown right on site at the chef’s garden is exquisite! Locally grown fruits, veggies, and ranched meats are used at the fabulous Enchantment eateries. Che Ah Chi and Tii Guavo were among the dining experiences we sampled while visiting. Che Ah Chi is a bit more refined than Tii Guavo, the more relaxed gathering place for guests. I was grateful for both locales and their impeccable service and health-focused ingredients that burst with flavors I’ll be craving for quite some time. Mii amo Spa You could say I’ve saved the best for last, but that’s not to say the other amenities at these properties aren’t striking. The spa at Mii amo in Sedona has been named the #1 Destination Spa in the U.S. in Travel + Leisure’s World’s Best Awards 2018 and for good reason. This spa enchants the mind, body, and soul in such an artful way it gives me goosebumps to recall my visit. To choose among the assortment of treatments like their traditional, innovative, or Native American influenced therapies was nearly impossible with the many options that Sedona offers! My Favorites at Mii amo Spa Massage Intentional Aromatherapy Massage uses a special blend of aromatic oils and treatments to soothe your body and mind. Capturing your senses, this massage seeps deep into your being. I am a great believer in the benefits of Cupping massage therapies so I was excited to see this is also offered here. Full Body Treatments Pinion Body Scrub is comprised of local pinon nuts that are ground and smoothed over your skin providing the utmost relaxation and exfoliation. After you’ve revealed healthy, fresh skin, your therapist finishes the treatment with the rich and aromatic pinon butter. Divine! Facial The Oxygen Facial is designed to heal and comfort desert-dried skin. Promoting collagen and elastin production, this incredible facial left my skin feeling plump and renewed after the wear of the dry desert weather. For the Soul True to the properties’ philosophies, Mii amo Spa offers experiences that pay homage to the healing ceremonies and special rituals of the Native American heritage. Reading of the Moment is an offering found at the spa that you may not find at every luxe spa getaway. This offering features experts that read your palm, use Tarot cards, and more to “direct your path.” If you’re lucky enough to visit during a full moon, you can release what no longer serves you in the Spirit of the Full Moon ritual. The Crystal Grotto Blessing is a private offering where Native American teachings direct celebration, healing, or comfort that’s needed for whatever you’re experiencing in life. Accolades I’m so blown away by the impressive list of accolades Mii amo Spa has received over the years I decided to share what they have most recently been awarded with in 2018. To share every accomplishment they’ve made over the years would be an entirely different post in itself… take a look at these! #1 Destination Spa in the U.S. Travel + Leisure World’s Best Awards, 2019 Certificate of Excellence, Hall of Fame – Mii amo TripAdvisor, 2019 Certificate of Excellence – Mii amo Café TripAdvisor, 2019 #1 Favorite Destination Spa American Spa Professional’s Choice Awards, 2018 #1 Destination Spa in the U.S. Travel + Leisure World’s Best Awards, 2018 Travel + Leisure World’s Best Hall of Fame Named to Travel + Leisure for 10 consecutive years, 2018 #1 Resort in the Southwest Condé Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards, 2018 Top 10 Best Health and Wellness Resorts USA Today, 2018 #3 Hotel with the Most Indulgent Spa Andrew Harper’s Hideaway Report, Members’ Choice Awards, 2018 Top 10 Best Desert Hotels in the West Sunset Magazine, 2018 North America’s Best Wellness Retreat World Spa Awards, 2018 #1 Spa Destination TripAdvisor, 2018 Sharing the learning, spirituality, and special moments with my mother and daughter made this trip to Mii amo and Enchantment even more special. As we all walked into each opportunity with open hearts, we all took something a bit different from each activity and offering found here. I don’t doubt at all that Sedona is one of the most spiritual locales in the world; the energy found among the red rocks is palpable and invigorating like no other! • THE PRIVATE SUITE LAX

It's no secret Chris and I love to travel, after all, we've created an entire business off of our travels. However, there is one part of every trip (no matter our destination) that we tend to dread: the airport experience. Finding a place to park your car, unloading heavy luggage, and battling through the ticket counter and TSA lines are pain points for all travelers. There's no way to anticipate how backed up security will be at a given time of day and the likelihood that your gate is the furthest one is probable. As firm believers in the benefits travel can bring to your mind, body, and soul, we feel that each experience shouldn't begin with a stressful one, which is why we absolutely love The Private Suite. This private concierge service located in LAX offers a first-class, "Head of State" service, including your own personal TSA screening, private lounge with amenities, luxury car service directly to your plane, and more. When Chris and I arrived at LAX for our departure to St. Louis, we were delivered to the entrance of The Private Suite, bypassing the inside of the airport altogether. We were immediately greeted by an agent who took our luggage and escorted us directly to our own private suite, equipped with a private bathroom, personal pantry, and even a meeting room. They've truly thought of everything! There's an outdoor play space for those traveling with children, in addition to a "children's toy menu." Feeling a little jet-lagged from your last flight? Take a nap on the two-person daybed provided. Every suite is fully stocked with a wide range of beverages and snacks including a self-serve candy bar with to-go bags and for those who didn't have time to eat prior, The Private Suite offers a full, health-conscious lunch menu. Once in our suite, we were able to relax, order lunch, have a drink, and simply unwind. I mean, have you ever in your life been able to say that you "unwound" at the airport? Meanwhile, our luggage was being tagged and boarded for us, allowing Chris and I to be hands-free for the remainder of our travel. The Private Suite is an invaluable service for anyone who travels regularly, travels with children, or simply prefers the privacy that only The Private Suite can provide. With the LAX location's consistent rise in popularity, The Private Suite has their sights set on New York, with their next location opening soon at JFK. After experiencing first hand the impeccable service provided by The Private Suite, we can confidently say that becoming a member is well worth the investment. Now, it’s time to explore Charleston! Whether you are a history buff, a foodie, or simply want to stroll the Battery promenade, it’s all here. Charleston is chock full of iconic architecture that can be explored on a walking tour or rent some bikes and pedal your way around town. For the history buffs, living history is all around! Take a ferry to Fort Sumter and stand exactly where the Civil War began, or visit Charles Towne Landing State Historic Site where English settlers established the first permanent European colony in Carolina. For a taste of true Southern charm, visit Magnolia Plantation and Gardens which has earned the distinction as the oldest public garden in the United States or Edmondston-Alston House dating to 1825 where you literally step into a world of Antebellum elegance & style. For those with more eclectic and grown up interests, we suggest you visit Firefly Sweet Tea Vodka Distillery (about a 30-minute drive) where you can learn first-hand why “Sweet Tea” is the drink of choice in Charleston, or time your evening excursion to visit one of the 20 plus roof top bars, sip on something tasty and marvel as the sun sets over the city. Looking for a new view of the area, with so many creeks, inlets, and beaches throughout Charleston, stand up paddle boarding is a great way to see the city and stay in shape. Consider renting a kayak or stand-up paddleboard for a few hours to explore on your own, or sign up for an official tour to have an instructor teach you the ins and outs while also guiding you through some of Charleston’s historical sites. During the summer months, pack your bathing suit and your umbrella and sunscreen, because Charleston’s beaches are only a short drive away. You can’t go wrong by heading to Folly Beach, Isle of Palms, Sullivan’s Island, Edisto, Kiawah, or Seabrook. A fun Charleston landmark is Folly Beach. Folly’s known locally as “The Edge of America,” where you walk out to the end of the island and get a close-up view of the Morris Island Lighthouse. Drive to the end of East Ashley Avenue, park on the side of the road (make sure all four tires are in the dirt!), and enjoy the local graffiti on the street as you hike out to where the sidewalk ends. Charleston is a food lovers paradise! Famous for Lowcountry cuisine  (the cooking traditionally associated with the South Carolina Lowcountry and the Georgia coast. ) Think Hoppin’John, Shrimp & Grits, She-Crab Soup alongside finger licking barbecue, fresh Eastern seafood, food carts and upstart kitchens with creative chefs who have put Charleston on the culinary map. Husk Charleston, was the first to make “new” Southern cuisine a thing, while featuring the regions freshest and best ingredients; while at Fig, those local, seasonal ingredients and reimagined Southern classics are the brainchild of James Beard winner, Chef Jason Stanhope. There are over 31 places to get oysters- our favorite is The Ordinary named “One of America’s Best Oyster Bars” by Food & Wine Magazine, Thrillist and Bon Appetit Magazine. Start your culinary journey with a few briny bi-valves at the Ordinary with a local brew or a festive glass of bubbly. If BBQ is your thing, try Lewis BBQ headed by Austin, Texas’s famous pit boss, James Lewis. You will find tender brisket, slabs of smoky meat served up with classic sides on picnic tables. We suggest you don’t wear a white shirt! For the seafood purist, we say go to Chubby Fish. A bit off the beaten path, Chubby Fish has some of the best seafood in a seafood lovers’ town. Whatever fresh catch ends up on Chubby Fish’s daily menu, will be deftly prepared and presented. “One’s destination is never a place, but a new way of seeing things”. We think Henry Miller’s quote perfectly sums up one of our favorite cities! Charleston is old and new, classic and funky, traditional and modern, Antebellum mansions and urban murals. It’s the perfect getaway for families, couples, the Girls and the Guys…. Charleston offers so many different and unique experiences, we could write a novel. When you are ready to visit, you know we are here to curate the perfect experience for you. Let’s keep dreaming together! It is that beautiful, and considered one of the most versatile year-round vacation destinations. Outdoor enthusiasts have been flocking to this mountain gem for a long time. With direct flights from over 12 major cities, getting to Jackson (JAC), the only airport in a national park, is quite easy. If flying private is your go to, we’re happy to assist with that as well. Walking distance to the tram, Caldera House is perfectly located for a day of mountain fun. During the winter months, it has a members lounge for alpine club members and hotel guests to enjoy a hot toddy or order from the hotel’s signature restaurant, Old Yellowstone Garage. • SANTA ROSA + DESTIN, FL

As we continue dreaming of blissful locales, our sights are set this week on a hidden gem– Santa Rosa in the Florida Panhandle. This one involves some of the most beautiful beaches in the world with sugary white sand and beautiful blue waters. Allow us to introduce you to Florida’s Emerald Coast, also known as 30A- a 2 lane county road that stretches across the shores, from Sandestin to a collection of quaint beachside communities. Some of these might sound familiar- Seaside, Watercolor, Alys Beach, Rosemary Beach, just to name a few, and if they don’t, you’ll want to change that. Each one is unique with its own style and flair and are connected by a walking/bike path. You can move slowly from one community to the next, taking in different architecture, shops and restaurants. WaterColor Inn Let’s take the trolley down 30A where we’ll arrive at the WaterColor Inn, evoking the laid back beach vibe we love, paired with luxurious southern hospitality. The 60 key boutique hotel is comprised of rooms and suites with stunning views of the bay and dunes. The tastefully landscaped grounds wind through open green space and manicured gardens. The property has a boathouse, tennis courts, spa, boutique shops, locally sourced restaurants, a fitness center and a private beach. WaterColor Inn offers guests access to a host of amenities, including private golf and beach club access, Camp WaterColor for the kids, adults only pool, complimentary bicycle use, kayak, canoe, pontoon boat and discounts on YOLO board rentals. One of our favorite things: beach bonfires. WIT will arrange all the details for you and your family. It’ll be one of your all time favorite beach memories! As a member of the Virtuoso portfolio, WIT is able to add these exclusive perks: full breakfast daily for two guests per bedroom (available at The Gathering Spot OR through In-Room Dining), a $100 USD food & beverage credit, early check-in/late check-out and upgrade on arrival, subject to availability. The Pearl Hotel Continuing on, past the local restaurants, shops and a few food trucks, you’ll come upon Rosemary Beach and The Pearl Hotel. This 55 key, adult-oriented, boutique hotel offering 41 standard rooms, nine suites, four cabana rooms and The Pearl Suite. All accommodations are bright, open and inviting with Old-World European charm. The Pearl Hotel is located in the heart of 30A with stunning views of the water and adjacent towns! The hotel’s restaurants support local growers, purveyors and fishermen throughout the region to include meat, fish and produce from small production, family-owned businesses within 100 miles, such as City Green Farms, Ocheesee Creamery and Camp Flowers Honey. The Pearl Spa offers a nicely balanced selection of treatments to include the Mother of Pearl Body Scrub – a great way to relax and rejuvenate. As a member of the St. Joe’s Hospitality Collection, exclusive perks are available, like access to the WaterSound Beach Club, championship golf, tennis and more. The Henderson Situated against the Gulf of Mexico, and about a 30 minute drive from the beachside communities we’ve just visited, Destin is widely known as the ‘world’s luckiest fishing village’. It also harbors world-class resorts, dining, shopping and golf courses. The Henderson, A Salamander Beach and Spa Resort, a 170 room property, is in an ideal location, between the Gulf of Mexico and a 200 acre natural reserve, so choosing between dipping your toes in the sand or taking peaceful nature walks, is not a thing. You just get to have both. Traditional in feel with clean lines and modern luxury amenities, it is the perfect fit for families, couples, groups and girls getaways. For our wellness focused clients, there are spa guest rooms with private spa elevators, premium products and a yoga wellness pack. As opposed to some hotels where the spa is oftentimes an afterthought, at The Henderson, with over 10,000 square feet, it is a well thought out nurturing space. With everything from healing and balancing rituals, to caviar age-defying facials and sea gems collagen masks, you will find an impressive array of services to choose from. Now that we have you fully relaxed and hopefully recharged, you can’t go home until you’ve tried at least a few of the plethora of activities at your disposal- kayaking, paddle boarding, morning yoga, meditation, rooftop cycle and beach body fit. We could keep going with the endless activities available on each months fitness schedule. And last, but certainly not least, how can you not fall in love with a destination that has a Canine Ambassador Program? At 10am and 2pm, come to the Living Room to meet Dune and Ranger, the adorable four legged staff members. Too cute! Our clients receive exclusive Virtuoso amenities with their stay, including: upgrade on arrival and early check-in/late checkout, subject to availability, $30.00 daily breakfast credit per guest, and $100.00 resort/hotel credit. The city’s ideal location is a watersports lovers’ paradise. Allow the WIT team to set up excursions from scuba, snorkeling, wave runners, to parasailing and beach combing. If fishing is your passion, Destin will deliver. Whether you are fishing off a local pier, surf fishing or deep-sea charters to the south of the Gulf casting for grouper and amberjack, WIT will seamlessly handle all the arrangements, so you only need to decide how to enjoy your catch for dinner. Located in the Destin area is Henderson Beach State Park, a beautiful swatch of the Emerald Coast with pristine beaches and 30-foot, snow-white sand dunes. You will find beachside hikes along a nature trail that winds to the park’s boardwalk. This state park was established for the preservation and protection of the last remaining coastal scrub area in Destin. After you come off the beach, refresh before hitting up the shopping in Gulf Place, right up the road. Gulf Place was designed for strolling palm tree- lined streets, outdoor cafes, boutique shops and a great local art scene. Dining in Destin is local seafood focused, as the abundance of fresh fish has drawn some of the nation’s top talent to the restaurant scene. For the best sunset views in town, try the locals’ perennial favorite, The Back Porch Seafood & Oyster House. The restaurant’s claim to fame is for inventing the amberjack sandwich, while its menu is chock full of fresh Gulf seafood. For something a bit different, Vintij Wine Boutique & Bistro boasts a nice wine list to sip in the boutique before moving to the Bistro and classic fare. Santa Rosa is considered the premier hot spot within the South Walton area and is known as the original beach community. Golf aficionados will love the The Santa Rosa Golf and Beach Club. The club’s 18-hole course was named the “purest in the Florida Panhandle” by Golf Magazine, and also ranked as one of the best places to watch the sunset by the locals. We say hit the clubhouse in time to watch a sunset with your favorite adult beverage. Also, all links lovers will drool over Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort, home to four award-winning golf courses: Raven Golf Club, Baytowne Golf Club, The Links Golf Club, and the semi-private Burnt Pine Golf Club. Named to both Golf Magazine and Golf Digest's Best Golf Resorts in North America, this is the only place in the world with course designs by the famous Jones brothers, Rees and Robert Trent Jr. If you are serious about your game, Sandestin is a must. WIT is here to plan your golf tour de force and will set up all your tee times, arrange for clubs, and make sure you are well taken care. For the nature lover, Point Washington State Park provides a natural backdrop of trails and paths to hike and explore, or check out Eden Gardens State Park. Start in the fully restored 1895 mansion to marvel at the USA’s second largest collection of Louis XVI furniture. After you’ve been mesmerized by the intricate carvings and family portraits, stroll the grounds and delight at the rose and camellia gardens, a secret garden and a dedicated butterfly garden. Avid bike riders will love the Timpoochee Trail. The 18.6-mile trail, named after an influential Euchee Indian Chief, takes you on an adventure through the dunes, state parks and several beach access points. Let us plan a day trip complete with bike rental, local tour guide, snacks, picnic lunch and a pick up at the end of the trail. We might’ve exposed our hidden gem, but we’re happy to have shared our little secret with you. Let us know what excites you most!

  • NAPA, SONOMA, AND CALISTOGA

As we continue to practice socially distancing this week, we invite you to join us on our next journey as we head to Napa, Sonoma and Calistoga. A scenic drive from San Francisco (approx. 60 miles), Napa and Sonoma are collectively known as California Wine Country. That said, the entire region is so much more than just wine tasting. The climate is ideal for outdoor activates like golf, biking and hiking, strolling and shopping, plus, the entire area is practically a religious experience for foodies. We love to come to this area in August through October or March through May. But whatever season you visit, Well Inspired Travels will create a curated itinerary to surprise and delight you. So, you ask, what is the difference between Napa and Sonoma? The iconic Napa area represents the golden child of the US wine scene. Visited by over 4 million visitors annually, it’s where you will find some of the world’s best wine, award winning restaurants, charming main streets and world class hotels. Though it covers nearly 800 square miles, most wineries are clustered in the 35 miles between the city of Napa in the south and the town of Calistoga in the north. Napa’s cabernets and chardonnays shot to international fame after the famous 1976 Judgement of Paris (portrayed in the movie Bottle Shock) in which California wines were judged to be better than their French counterparts shocking the wine world.  Sonoma, on the other hand, has roughly the same number of wineries as Napa Valley, but they’re spread over twice the land, which makes it feel less crowded — almost undiscovered in parts. Sonoma’s wineries tend to be more laid-back and intimate, with fewer crowds and lower tasting fees the farther you get from main roads. Sonoma has a charming town square where you can find boutique shops, art galleries and wonderful restaurants. In terms of wine types, Napa concentrates on cabs and classic Bordeaux varietals, Sonoma vintners make everything from pinot to zinfandel to gewürztraminer. Of course, when wine tasting, we’ll take care of hiring a driver to ensure you can fully enjoy wine tasting responsibly! The great thing about Napa and Sonoma is we can curate an itinerary based on your favorite grape juice as well. Are you a fan of Cabernet? We can set up a wine tour of some of the best producers in the area that will illustrate the many characteristics of the grape. If bubbles are your thing, let us arrange for door to door service at a handful of sparkling heavy hitters like Schramsburg, Mumm and Domain Chandon. Many of the vineyards have an amazing culinary program right on property. We can also do a food tour starting at Bouchon Bakery for buttery pastry and espresso and ending at Farmstead for the brightest in local farm to fork cuisine with an esoteric selection of local wines. If you are lucky enough to score a reservation at Chef Thomas Keller’s Michelin starred, French Laundry, we can plan your entire visit around the date of your dinner. Whenever you come, we do recommend you plan on a full day (or more) in both Napa and Sonoma to fully explore and embrace the distinctly different experiences. A truly scenic way to sip your way through the valley is to hop on the Napa Valley Wine Train. During the three-hour ride, you will enjoy a gourmet meal while taking in small town streets and wineries in Napa, Yountville, Oakville, Rutherford and St. Helena. The Napa Valley Wine Train is an antique Pullman train that has been restored with huge picture windows and a Tasting Car stocked with 30-40 boutique wines for tasting. Or try a bike tour through Sonoma with the Healdsburg Sip 'N Cycle tour, a relaxed 10- to 12-mile ride along the quiet country lanes of the Dry Creek Valley. Taste wines along the way, stop on rural back roads and enjoy the scenery, and keep your energy going with a Wine Country picnic lunch. For the more competitive riders, we love the Velo 'N Vino' tour which offers a challenging 20- to 30-mile morning ride through Healdsburg and the Dry Creek Valley, followed by a picnic lunch and afternoon wine tasting traveling in a van to small, family-owned wineries. Although Napa is the country’s premier wine tasting destination, there are so many other amazing activities to enjoy. To get a bird’s eye view of the valley, take a sunrise hot air balloon ride. The view from above is magical and well worth the early morning call time. As you gently glide over the vineyards when the sun comes up – you will think you are dreaming, the view is that beautiful. On your way back, stop by the Oxbow Public Market , a local culinary dream destination. The 40,000-square-foot restored brick building is light-filled and chock full of local bakers, butchers and chocolatiers at work. In keeping with the eye candy theme, once you have refreshed and refueled, take a drive up Mt. Veeder, about 20 minutes from the town of Napa, to see one of the best contemporary art collections at The Hess Collection winery. The museum, on the second and third floors of the beautiful winery displays works by the likes of Francis Bacon, Gerhard Richter, Anselm Kiefer and Robert Motherwell. The collection of modern art is ARTnews Magazine’s “top collections.” While you are at the top, set out on a stroll around the grounds to take in the amazing views. Finish off your day with a burger at the famous Gott’s Roadside. You may run into a local winemaker or celebrity chef while you’re there. Meadowood Napa Valley Hotel For the outdoor enthusiasts, there is hiking, tennis and several highly rated golf courses. Something for everyone in your group to enjoy together or on their own. For the action set, we think the Forbes 5 Star rated; Meadowood Napa Valley is a perfect landing spot. The 85 key resort has a combination of rooms, suites, villas and family lodges. The sophisticated California chic décor is soothing and all rooms have some outdoor space in the form of a terrace or patio. Meadowood’s three Michelin-starred restaurant, The Restaurant, is operated by Chef Christopher Kostow who is known for his use of the abundant Napa Valley farm bounty. Meadowood also has a 9-hole golf course, tennis courts, two manicured croquet courts, four miles of scenic hiking, swimming pools, an all suite-Spa menu and a Kid’s Sports Camp. This Sonoma chic boutique hotel consists of 25 rooms & suites and has 5 concierges on duty – yes FIVE! That is quite the ratio. Rooms are designed with natural elements against a palate of neutral colors and unique touches. The atheistic is stylish and warm. Every detail of your stay has been considered to ensure a truly thoughtful experience. Remember the 5 concierges? You will enjoy complimentary wine at check in, wine tastings every evening, nightly turndown with chocolate chip cookies and a complimentary Organic Artisan Bath Bar for guests, with self-serve soaps, scrubs and bath bubbles to take back to your room. And on that note, let’s discuss the Spa at Farmhouse Inn by Francis & Alexander. The attentive, yet relaxed service, and hand crafted treatments, are cornerstones of the spa. Their farm-to-table spa menu treatments feature bounty from the Inn’s gardens. Try their signature Personal Apothecary experience that begins with an interactive spa consultation to curate a personal blend of therapeutic oils used throughout your spa treatment. You will swoon over the Scrub, Rub and Shrub, which changes seasonally. A collaboration between spa apothecarist and the estate chef results in a synergistic seasonal body scrub and healthful shrub to drink, comprised from the Farmhouse kitchen garden and local farmers. The full body treatment includes an exfoliation and a massage. Need we say more? The magical Farmhouse Inn restaurant is a truly ethereal experience and the brain child of Michelin Star Executive Chef, Steve Litke. While you might be experimenting with activities you’ve never tried, why not take that same mindset to the spa by trying a Bellabaci Cupping Massage. The idea behind cupping is that it mimics your body’s natural inflammatory response by summoning fresh, oxygen-rich red blood cells along with white blood cells and nutrients, to combat inflammation, and helps to support your body’s natural detoxification system.  This technique uses a combination of hands and cups on the body and face, and can help alleviate chronic pain, muscle stiffness, and stagnation.  We think you’ll be happy you did! As an exclusive partner, when WIT plans your Park City getaway, not only will we curate a custom adventure for any season, we offer additional amenities: One $60 food & beverage credit per bedroom towards breakfast daily, $100 USD spa services credit at the award winning spa with the possibility of early check-in/late check-out and upgrade on arrival, subject to availability. Stein Eriksen Lodge Deer Valley Award winning, Stein Eriksen Lodge Deer Valley, has the accolades to prove how remarkable it is. Crowned the Best Ski Hotel in the World, by the World Ski Awards, Stein Eriksen is Utah’s only Forbes Five-Star, AAA Five-Diamond hotel, has Forbes Four Star dining, and a Forbes Five-Star 23,000-square-foot spa. The resort’s 180 rooms and suites are a balanced mix of traditional Norwegian style and contemporary design. With ski-in/ski-out access to Deer Valley Resort, and 145 fireplaces, it has almost as many fireplaces as it does rooms! We love that when this family friendly resort recently underwent a renovation, they thoughtfully added The Champions Club, an all ages game center with casual dining options, and an outdoor family pool and Champions Plaza. As a family that travels together, we at WIT appreciate the family-centric touches and know how to put together an experiential family vacation that will keep all ages engaged and happy! Stein Eriksen has a few dining options to include Glitretind, the resort’s signature restaurant, which should be a must on your to do list. A perennial favorite of the locals, we recommend checking out the Sunday brunch with steaming coffee and amazing offerings and desserts. It will knock your ski socks off! Next on your list, needs to be the Stein Erikson Spa– the irresistible treatment menu is complete with a Black Diamond Eye Mask, to give your eyes a little love. When you allow us to plan your getaway to Park City, we are delighted to offer complimentary breakfast daily for two per room, $100 spa credit (too easy to use this one) and if available, upgrade upon arrival and early check in/late checkout, if available. Montage Deer Valley If you are looking for that classic mountain lodge feeling, then look no further than Montage Deer Valley. Located less than 5 minutes from Main Street in Park City, the 220 room, grand resort offers on the mountain fun for all seasons. Resort guests are literally atop Empire Pass, with unrivaled ski-in/ski-out access to one of North America's top ranked ski resorts. Early and late check-in and checkout, are based on availability. The Lodge at Blue Sky Think earthy, serene and luxurious, set on 3500 acres with simply incredible views, and you’ve arrived at The Lodge at Blue Sky, an Auberge Resorts Collection. Guests have three distinctly different accommodations to choose from: Sky Lodge, the heart of the retreat and home to Blue Sky’s main restaurant, Yuta, Bar + Lounge, living room and infinity pool. A short walk from the lodge are the Earth Suites, designed to integrate into the landscape, and for the traveler looking for total privacy, we suggest reserving a one-bedroom Creek House. All are designed to highlight and celebrate the surrounding natural beauty. What we love about The Lodge at Blue Sky is their wellbeing and mindfulness offerings, like Indoor and outdoor yoga, guided meditation, and breathwork. The resort has a daily schedule for guests to choose from. The fitness junkie can ski with the GM (whom we are guessing is a pretty good skier) or take a guided Nordic hike. Family time includes meet and greet with the horses or s’mores by the firepit. The stunning Edge Spa invites further self-exploration through indulgent treatments that feature nourishing bloom-to-bottle ingredients. Your culinary adventure of seasonally and sustainable ingredients is led by James Beard Award-winning Executive Chef Galen Zamarra. Chef works with Lynsey Gammon, Blue Sky's resident Farmer, who oversees the on property, Gracie's Farm, to supply organic eggs, vegetables, herbs, wildflowers and honey. The menu is designed seasonally with a deep reverence for the land and culture. The entire experience of staying at Blue Sky is a truly immersive one. As a WIT preferred property, it’s our pleasure to book your entire visit and offer these exclusive perks: a daily breakfast credit for two per bedroom, $100 resort credit, and of course upgrade, early check-in or late check-out, if available. Sundance Mountain Resort About 45 minutes outside of Park City, you will find Sundance Mountain Resort. Created by Robert Redford, who writes “Sundance is and always will be a dream”. His vision was to create “A careful balance of art, nature, and community”. In 1969, he bought the land now known as Sundance and envisioned the careful growth committed to the balance of art, nature, community and rich cultural heritage. At the base of Mr. Timpanogos, it’s easy to see that this 6,000-acre destination resort is the dream Robert Redford envisioned it would be. The vibe at Sundance is rustic and casual. The property offers 95 cottages and 10 mountain homes. Each home is unique and eclectic – imagine rough, hand crafted wooden furniture, river rocks and colorful Native American accents. We love the privacy that the Mountain homes afford you and your family or groups of friends. When WIT books your stay at Sundance, not only do we offer exclusive amenities, like daily full breakfast for two guests per bedroom, served at the restaurant, $100 USD spa services credit, but also two free ski or lift passes, per night. We would love to deliver the perfect personalized experience for you. You might like us to stock the fridge or hire a private chef to cook for you, or maybe an in-house cooking class with wine tasting, followed by night sky stargazing with a local expert. Believe us when we say, you have not seen a night sky filled with stars until you’ve seen it at Sundance. You will find all the modern amenities at Sundance, plus top of the line dining options at nine different venues like Tree Room, which boasts the most amazing view of Mount Timpanogo. One fun fact is, The Owl Bar, a private club for members, is the restored home to a 1890’s bar that Butch Cassidy’s Hole-in-the-Wall gang used to drink in….and if that’s not the Wild, Wild West, we don’t know what is! Sundance also has Sundance Food Truck, located by one of the chair lifts serving up the most amazing burgers and fries – snow or sun, it’s a great spot to stop and refuel. With community as part of Sundance’s DNA, the resort offers year round ways to connect, whether with an art studio, fly-fishing, zip line tour ( winter or summer) , scenic lift rides, horseback riding , and mountain bike trail riding. If you don’t see what you are looking for, we will handcraft an amazing experience rich with local culture and natural beauty. As part of the Redford’s ethos and passion for sustainability, from day one, “Sundance Mountain Resort has a long-standing history of Green policies, dating back to the property’s original purchase in 1969. Today, Sundance Mountain Resort continues to update and implement new techniques and technologies, staying at the forefront of environmental stewardship”. St. Regis Deer Valley Located in the private Deer Crest community is the impeccable St. Regis Deer Valley. This 168 key property offers casual mountainside luxury. Ski lovers will jump for joy with convenient ski-in, ski-out access via the resorts funicular, that transports hotel guests to the top of the slopes or to their private ski beach, complete with Adirondack chairs to soak up some après ski sun. In the summer months, The St. Regis Deer Valley has an amazing split-level outdoor pool for lounging and catching up on your favorite summer read. Not only will you enjoy legendary St. Regis amenities and service, as an exclusive WIT guest we can also offer upgrade on arrival, subject to availability, daily full breakfast for two guests per bedroom, early check-in/late check-out, subject to availability and $100 USD spa services credit. We also love that St. Regis is pet and family friendly, so all your little ones are welcome! For pampering, the resort’s Remède Spa offers a full line of signature spa treatments and yoga classes to discover your bliss. You don’t need to go too far to have stunning views while savoring a delicious meal. Enjoy fresh seafood or a prime cut steak at Rime or classic bistro fare at Brasserie 7452. Regardless of the season, al fresco dining is available at the Terrace Café, located on Mountain Terrace overlooking spectacular Deer Valley. Once the snow melts, there are dozens of activities just waiting for you in Park City, like hiking, biking, horseback riding, golf and fly-fishing. These aren’t just everyday biking trails. They will force you to stop and be in complete awe of these majestic mountain ranges. It might seem intimidating, but we can assure you that all levels are welcome here. Not all who visit are thrill seekers, and Park City is happy to accommodate everyone. Historic Main Street is a foodie’s best friend. The quality of the local restaurants is top notch and there are choices galore, from fine dining, to grab and go, so you can find a bench outdoors and admire the views. One of our favorites is Twisted Fern. You’ll find real food that is fresh and wholesome in a casual atmosphere. We are completely on board with their philosophy of “minimally processed food that honors the roots of the ingredients”. A favorite fall dish is Agnlotti en Brodo, comprised of light as feather, sweet potato agnolotti, with locally forged mushrooms, shaved brussel sprouts, roasted carrots, carrot top persillade and roasted garlic-chaga broth. This dish sounds like all the best things about fall, cooked to perfection. Now you know some of the reasons we love Park City so much, and we have only scratched the surface of this 24-karak gold former mining town. Whether snow, sun, horse drawn sleigh rides, shopping or sipping, Park City will give you all it’s got and more. As the locals like to remind us, no matter what you do, you must always give gratitude to the mountain’s bounty. We couldn’t agree more, and as always we continue to stay strong WIT you!

  • MAINE

If thoughts of Maine conjure up images of lighthouses, rocky coastlines and lobster rolls, then you’re on the right track. Whether your interests lie in the outdoors, you’re a small town aficionado or a seaside lover, Maine has a wide range of attractions, with famous Acadia National Park thrown in for fun. So, pull up an Adirondack chair, relax and enjoy the view. About 90 miles outside of Boston, you will find historic Kennebunkport. You may also hear it referred to as Kennebunk, and some of the locals refer to themselves as “The Kennebunks”, so now you’ve got the full inside scoop. Originally a shipbuilding and fishing village for almost a century, Kennebunk has evolved into a well-loved summer town and seaside destination. The city is coastal chic with shopping, whale watching, sailing and fine dining. Hidden Pond When in Kennebunkport, we invite you to step out of your everyday routine and enjoy Hidden Pond, a collection of 36 luxurious coastal cottages tucked into 60 acres of Southern Maine coastline and birch forest. This, part rustic, part intimate resort, is cottage living at its finest. The Hidden Pond bungalows are the perfect escape from it all. Each of the bungalows are handsomely appointed with a floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace, marble bathroom, outdoor rain shower, screened porch, fine linens, luxury toiletries, a gas fireplace and wet bar with mini-fridge. If this is their idea of roughing it, we’re in! Whether you’re exploring the property and its organic garden, taking a dip in the pool or venturing out and finding Goose Rocks Beach, there are plenty of ways to slow down and take it all in. At the end of the day, the resort hosts nightly bonfires, complete with s’mores for kids of all ages. Tree Spa is a lovely respite for treatments, while the rest of your group is enjoying some of the resort’s activities- ranging from beachfront stargazing at The Tides Beach Club, kids classes, Monday night “Glow Swims” or golf cart rentals to tool around the property in, you will be relaxing and recharging . Foodies don’t fret, Hidden Pond has a variety of culinary options, like dinner at Earth, which focuses on farm-to-fork menus, Farm Bar, for fun and inspired cocktails, Hidden Pond’s “Farmer’s Market” with homemade treats or a late-night dessert at The Lodge. As an exclusive partner, when WIT plans this adventure, we offer additional amenities: Upgrade on arrival, daily Farm Bar breakfast for two guests per bedroom, $100 USD resort/hotel credit and early check-in/late check-out, subject to availability. The White Barn Inn For travelers looking to be in the heart of the action, located in downtown Kennebunkport, is The White Barn Inn, part of Auberge Resorts Collection. The 26 key property comprised of rooms, suites and waterfront cottages, is located within walking distance of shopping, art galleries and the beach. As a WIT preferred property, we are delighted to offer complimentary continental breakfast daily, $100 hotel credit, a private kitchen tour, and upgrade, with the possibility of early check in/ late check out, all subject to availability. While at The White Barn Inn, should you experience a rainy day, we think there’s no better place to be than the White Barn Spa, named “one of the best spas in Maine”. We are in love with the Thai Yoga massage that combines gentle stretching, passive yoga, and acupressure. After your treatment, check out the sensory rain showers and infinity-edge soaking tub. Here you’ll find two unique, on-property dining options. For a more casual meal, The Bistro is open for lunch and dinner where you will find modern takes on regional classics. Weather permitting, dine outside on the Bistro Deck. We suggest you plan on night dining at The White Barn Restaurant, celebrating New England cuisine and locally sourced. The White Barn Restaurant is a recognized and celebrated AAA Five Diamond and Forbes Five Star restaurant, presenting the opportunity for an authentic experience with every bite. The Cliff House WIT is happy to orchestrate your travel up and down the Maine coast. A fun and historic trip could center around the famous Maine lighthouses. A few of our favorites: the Portland Head Lighthouse, informally known as the Cape Elizabeth and Cape Neddick Lighthouse, also known as the Nubble Lighthouse, situated atop a large rock island in York, Maine. While in Cape Neddick, breathtaking views abound at The Cliff House. This iconic, 226 key property was originally opened in 1872. Perched above the Atlantic Ocean on Bald Head Cliff, the resort recently went through a total renovation in 2016. With over 70 acres, The Cliff House rooms and suites are designed with a classic and inviting feel, luxurious and chock full of family friendly amenities to include an oceanfront spa and wellness center, two outdoor swimming pools, kid’s activities and oceanfront dining. The resort features three food and beverage options for the entire family. Starting with The Tiller Restaurant, the retreats signature spot, which pays homage to Maine’s local fishermen, distillers and farmers. The dining room is suspended over the ocean and provides the best panoramic views of Cape Neddick. No trip to Maine would be complete without lobster, so luckily there is Nubb’s Lobster Shack to get your fix. To keep the flow moving, stop by Bald Head Coffee for your favorite caffeine boost! All three venues update their menus seasonally. We are so happy to partner with The Cliff House and offer these additional and exclusive perks: Daily continental breakfast for two guests per bedroom , a Cliff House Maine signature "Sea Bag" tote, we think it’s so cool that the tote is made in Maine from recycled sails, and of course, upgrade upon arrival, early check-in/late check-out, subject to availability. Inn by the Sea If you start off your Maine exploration in Portland, we love Inn by the Sea, just fifteen minutes from downtown. An eco-friendly property located on a beautiful stretch of one of Maine’s coastal beaches. Inn by the Sea boasts 61 stylish and modern guestrooms, and spacious one-and two-bedroom suites ideal for couples and families. Committed to both outstanding hospitality and environmental responsibility, Inn by the Sea is both LEED and Maine DEP certified. The resort offers yoga on the lawn, garden tours and children’s art activities. As parents we were excited to read that the property supports local schools with an annual book drive donation! It’s a lovely way to give back. As always, we offer the best benefits due to our relationship with the property, to include: daily full breakfast for two guests per bedroom in the restaurant, $100 USD spa services credit, upgrade on arrival, and early check-in/late check-out, subject to availability. Fort Williams Park With the Inn’s proximity to Portland, we suggest visiting Fort Williams Park to wander among nature and visit the iconic Portland Head Light and Museum. Great for families, this park allows you to tour the arboretum, walk the Cliffside loop, explore the rocky beach, enjoy the playground, or take your dog for a walk. Maine is now the 3rd largest producer of craft beer in the country…..who knew? So how about we plan a Portland Brew Tour complete with some of Maine’s famous craft brews like Lone Pine, Allagash and Oxbow. If you’re a foodie at heart, Portland’s rising food scene is fertile ground for an eclectic and fun day partaking in all of your favorites. Acadia National Park Our adventure has finally brought us to Acadia National Park, located about 160 miles from Portland, Maine, and about 50 miles from Bangor. Here you will find some of the most stunning landscapes on the Eastern Seaboard. Situated on the coast, the majority of the park’s 47,000 acres includes being on Mount Desert Island, though portions of the park are on the Schoodic Peninsula and Isle au Haut. Visiting Acadia National Park might mean fall foliage, winter skiing, spring fishing or summer hikes, something to endulge your senses all year round. How does a night of glamping sound after exploring the trails and views of Maine’s only National Park sound? We will make sure every detail is attended to, including transportation, accommodations and gourmet campfire cuisine. From coast to coast, WIT is here to keep you inspired and stay strong WIT you! Until next time….

  • WASHINGTON, D.C.

Monuments and memorials on the Mall. The Smithsonian and Library of Congress. Eclectic neighborhoods, local cuisine and cherry blossoms. Washington, D.C. is one of the most unique cities in the world. Tour the monuments and be awe struck and humbled by the beauty and history behind it all. Head to the Mall and you will see many of the city’s more than 70 museums. We love The National Gallery of Art for both classic and modern art. Make sure you ride the subterranean, the lit walkway between the two buildings. Art lovers have The Hirschhorn Museum, known for its extensive collection of modern and contemporary art, including works by Pablo Picasso, Henry Moore and Yayoi Kusama. The sculpture garden is a must-see, as it includes the famous Wish Tree by Yoko Ono. The Freer | Sackler Galleries are open to the public as well, so you can do a fully immersive art tour. The National Holocaust Museum is a moving tribute to understand the narrative of the Holocaust through artifacts, videos and personal stories. The whole family will love The Air and Space Museum, and be delighted by the scope here, including Charles Lindbergh’s Spirit of St. Louis, the Wright brothers’ original 1903 flyer, astronaut space suits and a lunar rock sample. There is the newly opened National Museum of African American History and Culture, the only national museum devoted exclusively to the documentation of African American life, art, history and culture. While you are on the Mall, save time for The National Museum of American History with artifacts that tell the American story. Among these, a few crowd favorites, including the flag that inspired the Star-Spangled Banner, Julia Child’s kitchen, Dorothy’s ruby slippers from The Wizard of Oz, Abraham Lincoln’s stovepipe hat, and even the puffy shirt from a classic Seinfeld episode. There is so much to see and do on the Mall, so bring your walking shoes and sense of adventure. We will curate a cultural tour with everyone’s interests in mind. Four Seasons Hotel Washington, D.C. Washington is a city made up of neighborhoods – each with its own character and charm, so let’s first start in the classic Georgetown neighborhood, home to Four Seasons Hotel Washington, D.C., the city’s first Forbes Five Star, AAA Five Diamond property. It was newly renovated in 2016 and the 222 guestrooms – 58 of which are suites – are luxurious and sophisticated. What we love about this hotel, aside from the legendary Four Seasons service, is the location. You are literally steps away from the historic, boutique-lined streets of Georgetown. Make sure to have us book a table for you at Bourbon Steak, Celebrity Chef Michael Mina’s homage to the classic steakhouse. One of the restaurant’s signatures, Michael’s Lobster Pot Pie, takes this dish to a new level with its brandy infused lobster. The cuisine, the ambiance and the service are all beyond compare and should be on the top of all foodies’ lists. The hotel also has the sunny Seasons where you might spy some of Washington’s movers and shakers over a power breakfast, not to mention Season’s gush worthy Sunday brunch- worth waking up for.
