  • BANYAN TREE MAYAKOBA, RIVIERA MAYA, MEXICO

The beautiful thing about Mexico (besides the electric blue waters and white sand beaches, of course) is that there's a resort for every preference. From family-friendly, to a romantic getaway, or a nice blend of the two, whichever trip you're seeking out can be found in the marvelous Mexican landscape. We spent time at Banyan Tree Mayakoba and were astounded by the beautiful details influenced by the Thai culture--a country we've yet to visit, but it’s on our list! The lobby itself quite possibly makes the biggest statement with its signature tree floating on its own island in the center of the resort, dressed with beautiful crimson lanterns that illuminate the night sky and cast glowing reflections through the rippling water beneath. This Asian influence can also be seen within the resort's accommodations. With titles like 'Bliss', 'Serenity', and 'Spa', you can tell Banyan Tree's villas (along with Banyan Tree's resort altogether) provide guests a sanctuary for relaxation and luxury. Every villa offers guests their own private pool with varying views, from the magnificent Mayakoba canals to the vibrant greens of the El Camaleon golf course (Chris’ personal favorite). On par with the theme of relaxation, Banyan Tree's spa, The Rainforest, offers an experience suited perfectly for the climate: a hydrothermal facility using heat and humidity to detox the body. Take a dip in the vitality pool, indulge in the aroma steam room, or unwind in the Finnish sauna--better yet, pair any of these with a Thai, Indian, Chinese, or Balinese massage by one of their master therapists and you'll come out revitalized! We enjoyed dinner at both Saffron and Cello while at Banyan Tree, both memorable experiences with outstanding cuisine. Cello is their Italian-inspired restaurant overlooking the beautiful lagoons. With an entire wall of the restaurant open to the outdoors, we were serenaded by the sweet sounds of nature and surrounded by the Caribbean breeze. Chris and I began with the burrata salad as we deliberated over what to order for dinner (note: there is no wrong choice when ordering at Cello!). I enjoyed the fresh sea bass special with homemade linguine pasta and clams in a lemon olive oil sauce, while Chris dined on the oso buclinguineo and risotto. Something to note: Guests at any of the surrounding resorts can book reservations at Banyan Tree's restaurants. In fact, those who dine at Saffron, Cello, or any of the other incredible restaurants Banyan Tree offers are picked up by a duffy boat at their private boat dock, float peacefully by the villas, through the lagoon, and straight to the restaurant (and did we mention offer a lovely cheese platter and champagne toast along the way?). The following evening we dined at Saffron, an intimate setting featuring an authentic yet contemporary Thai cuisine. We shared the Khong Wang Ruam, two crisp rice noodle wrapped prawns, grilled chicken breast satay, fried floppy sea bass rice noodle rolls and pomelo prawn salad, as well as the Goong Sarong Buer Tod, a crisp rice noodle wrapped prawn, fried betal leaf and sweet mango chili sauce to prime our palates. Fried calamari, summer rolls, spring rolls, and crispy shrimp are also must-haves for those who want to truly experience everything the Thai cuisine has to offer. We rounded out our meal with the shrimp pad Thai, which Chris enjoyed, while I had the green curry grilled prawns--to die for! We recommend experiencing firsthand the best of Asian and Mexican culture at Banyan Tree's AAA Five Diamond luxury beach resort the next time you book your Caribbean getaway (and you never know--you may see us there when you go)! • ROSEWOOD MAYAKOBA, RIVIERA MAYA, MEXICO

I used to wonder why seemingly everyone vacations to Mexico when they have their pick of the globe, but then Chris and I went to Rosewood Mayakoba. Let's just say I wonder no more. Rosewood Mayakoba is a five-star jungle oasis situated north of Playa del Carmen overlooking the beautiful Caribbean Sea. As we made our way through the property, it was as if the buildings had been there for centuries and the jungle then grew up and around them. Picture your childhood dreams of living in a treehouse, then add a championship golf course, island spa, and a personal butler. Our suite overlooked the lagoon and offered views of lush greenery at every turn. We couldn't have dreamt of a more tranquil place to rest our heads. The beautiful white sand and comfortable cabanas were calling our names, so after getting settled we quickly headed to the beach. In fact, I think it goes without saying we spent every single afternoon lounging by the ocean. Taking in the Mexican sun while being served on the sand was wonderful, but getting behind the bar sounded a little more fun to Chris (are you surprised?)! Chris played bartender and learned how to mix a true Mexican margarita using the only tequila worth mentioning, Don Julio 1942. A splash of lime juice, a shot of agave, a little bit of cointreau, and a lot of Don Julio later, we had ourselves the perfect cocktail to sip oceanside--thanks, babe! When it was time to book our dinner reservations (which guests do through their butler, by the way), we had our pick from an array of mouth-watering cuisine, from Southern Pacific Coastal Mexican to Asian-influenced baja seafood and everything in between. Chris and I kept it casual on our first night at Rosewood Mayakoba and dined at Aqui Me Quedo, situated right on the beach under a sea of seemingly endless palm trees. While dipping our toes in the sand, we sipped margaritas served straight from their vintage food truck and ordered some fresh guacamole and pico de gallo. It's a sin if you go to Mexico and don't order guacamole! I then enjoyed the local caught sea bass with fresh seasonal vegetables while Chris had the grilled trout with fresh seasonal vegetables plucked right from the property garden. If you're looking for something slightly more intimate for a romantic night out, we recommend booking a reservation at Agave Azul, where you'll find a delectable fusion of Asian and Mexican fare. We began our meal with the "loco" edamame and rock shrimp, then moved onto a beautiful sushi spread consisting of their campechano roll, crispy soft shell crab roll, taco chino roll, and spicy tuna roll. The backlit walls lined with various bottles of rare tequilas and sweeping views of the lagoon made for a perfect date night ambiance. The next morning, we enjoyed breakfast overlooking vibrant fuschia blooms backed by bright aqua waters as we ate breakfast on the outdoor lounge of Casa Del Lago. Once Chris and I were fueled up for the day, we headed to the fitness center to break a sweat. I enjoyed several of their workout class offerings, including pilates floating and yoga floating, where you perform the movements standing on a floating board above the water, and traditional HIIT classes. Their wellness suite also offers the Technogym, TRX, BOSU, and my favorite Peloton bike. While Rosewood Mayakoba's overall theme is relaxation, it was a nice surprise to have such a vast selection of exercise equipment and fitness classes to choose from in order to stay on top of your fitness goals while away from home. Speaking of relaxation, one of the things we looked forward to the most was indulging at Sense, Rosewood's secluded spa which sits on it's very own island! A treatment unique to Rosewood Mayakoba that I recommend everyone experience is the Kuxtal Sensory Garden Ritual--a three-hour journey which begins with an awakening ritual using scents, sounds, and taste amid nature to awaken your senses before finding your own connection to one of the garden's plants. Dependent upon which plant you gravitate toward, your experience will be focused on either physical healing, meditation, or balancing of energy. After spending our afternoons oceanside, I wanted to treat my sun- kissed skin and chose the Mayakoba Organic Facial, which uses natural extracts and essential oils to brighten and soothe the skin leaving me with a radiant glow. I followed that up with the A Time To Dream body treatment, a warm sugar scrub exfoliation and dry skin oil energetic massage providing a sun-like sensation to the skin while enhancing your mood. Naturally, Chris and I wanted to partake in something together, so we booked the Curative Fire and Ice Therapy. Using both warm and cold stones, this treatment is used to relax muscles, reduce muscular tension, and improve circulation through an invigorating massage--a wonderful option for athletes and their better haves! Quite possibly my favorite part of our trip was the Cenote Temazcal Purification. This traditional Mayan practice takes place inside a stone structure (imagine an igloo of sorts), where a steam bath using herbal water and volcanic rock, as well as a scrub application, detoxified my skin. During this process, the Shaman lead a ceremony where I was guided and encouraged to control my thoughts with my mind, a practice that would greatly benefit those individuals with anxious tendencies. My journey concluded with a body temperature balancing water rinse, followed by a massage with warm herbal poultices. I truly felt rejuvenated and reconnected with the earth after this ritual. As if Rosewood Mayakoba could get any better, they offer a 7,000-yard, 18-hole, championship golf course, El Camaleon. If you know Chris, you know that this course was the driver behind Chris' excitement for Rosewood Mayakoba (pun intended)! While the course is quite narrow and demanding off the tee, the many holes that open up to expansive views of the water make the difficulty worth the while. In addition to being an official host of the PGA tour, El Camaleon also provides the top teaching facility for golf in all of Mexico. There truly isn't anything Rosewood Mayakoba doesn't offer their guests! During our stay here and as we travel to various destinations, we've noticed the shift toward true sustainability efforts by hotels and resorts looking to decrease waste, and Rosewood Mayakoba is among the leaders in this movement. One simple yet impactful way they incorporate this is in their fitness center, where we found reusable recycled aluminum bottles and a water filter, instead of plastic water bottles. On a grander scale, they've built a sophisticated in-house treatment plant, which takes used water from guest rooms and laundry and repurposes it for landscape irrigation--brilliant! They even gave thoughtful consideration to how guests get from point A to point B on the property, using only electric boats, electric golf carts, and bicycles. Lastly, Rosewood Mayakoba not only gives back to the environment, but they give back to their community as well. The K'iin Beh Foundation was created to fund the Centro Educativo K'iin Beh, a school built by Rosewood Mayakoba for the children of their employees and local youth. The school, which serves more than 200 students and offers bilingual, full-time education, has been funded entirely by friends and family of Rosewood Mayakoba, and if you feel so inclined, guests who have a desire to donate have various options to do so, as well. The stunning Rosewood Mayakoba is the ideal luxury resort for anyone looking to relax and indulge, while connecting with the local Mayan heritage. We're already looking forward to coming back to this beautiful corner of Mexico! Pack your digital bags and follow us on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook as we explore each destination! • THE LONDON, WEST HOLLYWOOD, CALIFORNIA

If one of the most spectacular views of West Hollywood and the largest suite in all of Los Angeles doesn't entice you enough to book your next stay at The London, perhaps the fact that they have two English bulldogs who live in the hotel named Winston and Churchill will. From top to bottom, The London provides old Hollywood glam vibes with a modern-day twist. The moment Chris and I stepped into The London, we could tell it was special. The energy was palpable and they seemingly captured a slice of London and dropped it into the middle of L.A.. Every room at The London is a suite, which is an immediate advantage over several of its competitors in the area. Upon checking into our room, we were pleased to find the bathroom was just as spacious as our master bath at home, something all vertically- gifted athletes will enjoy. With our own private balcony overlooking the breathtaking hills of Hollywood, we were tempted to stay in the room, which is why we ordered our spa services to be brought to us--an option The London offers with any spa service you select with a simple call to your concierge. We spent the afternoons relaxing by the rooftop pool, taking in the panoramic views of Beverly Hills. Once again, the impeccable concierge service offered at The London carries through to the pool, ensuring your experience on the roof is just as superb as your time spent inside. No detail was too small to consider in the design of this oasis in the sky. Palm trees on the roof? Why not? A waterfall cascading down behind two English bulldog mosaics? Even better! The pool (which is only available to hotel guests) provides the perfect environment for fun and relaxation, making it equally perfect for a family stay or a romantic getaway. Among several outstanding amenities The London offers is a 24-hour fitness center, complete with free weights, a Peloton bike, a TechnoGym Kinesis station, and a high-intensity interval zone. As you may know, Chris and I like to maintain our exercise regimes on the road, so having access to a gym that houses our creature comforts (like my favorite Peloton bike) is important to us. The London's restaurant, Boxwood, offers a sprawling complimentary breakfast that's almost too pretty to eat. Whether you're a savory or sweet morning person, their spread has something for every palate. As hungry as an eater as Chris is, he was able to fuel up for the day ahead, but if you have something specific in mind, you can order off their menu like I did (I recommend the egg white breakfast burrito). If you're not a morning person, we recommend checking out Boxwood for a romantic date night before hitting the town--more specifically, order their phenomenal spicy tuna roll. Quite possibly some of the best sushi we've ever had! If you're looking to experience the glamour of old Hollywood refreshed for today's traveler, we recommend staying at The London in WeHo (and don't forget to say hi to Winston and Churchill while you're there). Pack your digital bags and follow us on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook as we explore each destination! If you're looking to plan your next trip, Reach out to us here to start getting inspired together! • THE LODGE AT BLUE SKY, WANSHIP, UT

A place to reconnect with nature and forget technology exists altogether. We packed our bags and took the whole family to The Lodge at Blue Sky in Park City, Utah for a full week of family togetherness--free of distractions and full of experience. Located just a half hour from Main Street Park City, we were welcomed to The Lodge at Blue Sky by a 360-degree view of the mountains, which truly takes your breath away. Whether you choose to stay in the Sky Lodge, Creek House, or an Earth Suite, you'll find the same tranquility and relaxing ambiance in each. Our rooms were abundantly spacious, featured beautiful, oversized walk-in showers, and large outdoor patios. Utilizing wood, wicker, and stone into the decor, each room felt modern and fresh, while simultaneously serving as an extension of the natural environment just outside the windows. Fortunately for us, the night we arrived held a full moon, so we were able to enjoy the Full Moon hike under the open night sky and climb the beautiful trails lit by nothing more than moonlight (we even saw a moose)! This was quite a special adventure to kickstart our week in the mountains. The activities offered at The Lodge at Blue Sky are truly where they shine. It's impossible to participate in every offering in one trip, but we certainly tried! We enjoyed a mountain biking excursion as a family, where everyone (except myself) rode e-bikes. I chose the path of more resistance and rode a traditional mountain bike! Considering the impressive equine program available, we attended several horseback riding excursions as a family, including the Meet the Horses experience and the White Tail Trail. I even enjoyed a private Western horseback riding lesson solo--a great opportunity to quiet my mind and connect with nature. Lilah and I were craving some girl time, so we chose the Art of the Shed experience, which took place inside a little yurt on the mountainside (this same yurt is transformed at night into a romantic private dining experience by candlelight!). The Art of the Shed experience begins with a walk through the surrounding trails to search for and collect an animal shed--the antlers of a moose, elk, or deer which are shed in the Spring. This hunt was fun and exciting, especially for Lilah who won by finding the first shed! After returning to the yurt, Lilah and I looked up a few inspiration pieces on Pinterest to help us decide how we would each paint our sheds. Abby, the art instructor, was absolutely incredible guiding us through this experience. Her and Lilah bonded over their love of art so much that they scheduled a one-on-one meet up later in the week for a new art adventure! Once we finished our sheds, the resort was kind enough to ship them to our home. So thoughtful! Sporting Clays was an activity that our whole family loved doing--certainly a highlight of our trip! This half day activity is taught by a professionally trained instructor, who begins by educating you on proper technique and etiquette prior to implementing shooting challenges. Not only do the instructors hold training from the West London Shooting School in the UK, they also take the resort's commitment to the environment seriously by utilizing biodegradable clay discs, paper wad ammunition versus plastic, and recycling all bullet casings. We all enjoyed the education and training we received from our talented instructor, Kurt, who was impressed by Lilah nailing her first shot! Before heading to our next activity, we took a dip in the infinity pool to cool off and take in the scenic mountain views. It was then time to venture out to the mountainside to partake in axe throwing, and let me tell you, I uncovered a hidden talent I didn't know I had! Our instructor, Levi, began our challenge by teaching us the techniques of axe throwing. Our family had a blast competing against one another and I can proudly say I'm the Pronger axe throwing champion! Of course it wouldn't be a true outdoorsy vacation if the guys didn't enjoy a fishing expedition, so Chris, Jack, and George set out on Weber River with guides Chris and Dan for an afternoon of fly fishing. While the boys were busy catching trout, Lilah and I participated in morning outdoor yoga, followed by a hike and a private horseback riding lesson. We even tried aerial yoga in the woods! Being surrounded by the sounds of nature was good for the mind, body, and soul, and provided a mother-daughter bonding experience I'll remember always. We hardly scratched the surface of all the outdoor adventures offered at The Lodge at Blue Sky, but if traditional exercise is more your speed, they have a fabulous, brand new gym with high-end fitness equipment including two Peloton bikes. Your options are truly endless. Just as The Lodge at Blue Sky showcases the beautiful mountainside landscape through their array of activities in nature, their culinary approach is no different. Yuta, which is run by James Beard award-winning chef Galen Zamarra, is the signature restaurant on site, utilizing local, seasonal ingredients found right on the property's landscape. In addition to prioritizing locally-sourced ingredients, Yuta also prioritizes thoughtfulness. We celebrated Jack's 18th birthday during our stay, and the chef made sure to learn and prepare all of Jack's favorite dishes for an extra special dining experience. If you're looking to partake in some guilty pleasures, then High West Distillery is the place to indulge. After our axe throwing challenge, we devoured a spread of burgers, patty melts, and customized macaroni and cheese, with a whiskey tasting for Mom and Dad. The cowboy-inspired interior and rotating BBQ-themed nights had us frequenting this spot during our trip. At the end of every evening, we gathered around the fire and enjoyed “S'mores School" while watching the sun descend over the mountaintops, followed by a family game of Uno or a movie in the mountains showcased on their outdoor projector. When I found time to sneak away, I went to The Edge Spa for a restorative and mindful experience. I began with Sage: A Cleansing Journey, which taught me about the power and healing benefits of sage. I followed with the Back in the Saddle massage, which focuses on releasing tightness through deep tissue massage, and ended with the Mountain Cacao experience--a Mayan tradition utilizing vibrations of singing bowls and ceremonial sipping cacao to access your inner peace. Disconnect from your calendar, log off from the busyness, and find your inner peace again at The Lodge at Blue Sky in Park City, Utah.

  • FOUR SEASONS AT COSTA PALMAS, LOS CABOS, MEXICO

If there’s one thing I think of when I hear the words 'Four Seasons', it's legendary service. With a location in nearly every city you could ever dream of visiting, the Four Seasons are seemingly taking over the world--and I'm not mad about it. Whether visiting one of their private retreats, shopping their at home collection, or vacationing to one of their beautiful destinations like Los Cabos at Costa Palmas, the level of service you'll receive is bested by no one (and did we mention they're introducing their new private jet in 2021?). Some of our most memorable trips as a family have been spent at Four Seasons across the world, so we were excited to visit their new development at Costa Palmas in California Sur, Mexico! We couldn't have asked for a more ideal room set up than what we were provided at the Four Seasons Los Cabos at Costa Palmas. The rooms were extremely spacious while still maintaining a warm, cozy feel. Our room was connected to the kids room, which was wonderful and provided peace of mind knowing that they could simply pop over into our room whenever they needed something (without having to exit the suite). The kids room had double beds, which eliminated any chance of fighting (amen!) and the sweetest welcoming gift was waiting for them in their room upon our arrival: a cookie decorating kit with their names spelled out in sugar cookies! Note: If you're traveling with a baby and/or toddler, they even offer complimentary baby proofing items! Both of our rooms included large closets, enormous bathrooms, and an overall open concept with low profile pieces to allow the panoramic ocean view to be the glorious focal point. Every single room at the Four Seasons was created to allow the natural light to pour in and freshen the space, allowing us to feel not only relaxed, but revitalized. The indoor- outdoor concept flows beautifully from room to room, with an outdoor patio being the icing on the accommodation cake. Our outdoor lounge area had comfortable seating-- including a daybed--which provided us the perfect, private spot to take in the panoramic Sea of Cortez views. Every suite at the Four Seasons Los Cabos includes a personalized butler service, who go out of their way to ensure their clients are happy and cared for at all times--something we so appreciated since our children were with us! The entire staff make it clear that no ask is unattainable for their valued guests at Costa Palmas. With the kids in tow, we wanted to fill our time with memorable activities and outings. As you can imagine, the 18-hole golf course which was recently added this past Fall to the Four Seasons Los Cabos at Costa Palmas was a huge hit with the boys, as well as the basketball courts and beach volleyball courts. Lilah enjoyed fishing and taking part in one of their incredible baby turtle releases, which is an activity offered through the "Kids For All Seasons" kids club on site--a fabulous offering for families! Speaking of the kids club, the Four Seasons truly thinks of everything in regards to your children having just as memorable of an experience as the adults. In addition to the Kids For All Seasons club, they provide a kids swimming area (a great option for kids of all ages), a Teen Centre with popular games and outdoor excursions, tennis lessons, and even child- sized bathrobes! Horseback riding, pickle ball and tennis courts, and bikes are among other available options, and for those of us of drinking age, they even have fun tequila and mezcal tastings--what better place to learn? For some pampering post playtime, the Oasis Spa offers a menu of treatments and experiences with healing at the root. I chose the Oasis Elevating Yoga Facial, which uses aromatherapy and sound with a customized cleansing and masking regimen for your specific skin. Through energetic yogic massage techniques, I walked out with revitalized and glowing skin. I also enjoyed the Hot Stones Massage, a blend of warm and cool stones that relax your muscles, improve circulation, and reduce tension, as well as the foot and leg massage from their Beach and Pool Experiences menu, where they provide your service in the comfort of your lounge chair, followed by a hydrating mist--just what I needed while taking in some sun! Part of what Chris and I love about traveling is experiencing the native cuisine of each place we visit. The kids aren't always as adventurous as us when it comes to cuisine, so we were thrilled to learn that every restaurant on the property has a separate menu catered specifically to children! It can sometimes be challenging to find healthy alternatives when on the road, but never at the Four Seasons Los Cabos. We started our day by fueling up at Estiatorio Milos, one of the finest Mediterranean seafood restaurants in the world. Situated right on the beach, the floor to ceiling, unobstructed windows offered breathtaking views of the ocean, enticing us to go outside and play after breakfast. Chris ordered the steel cut oatmeal, while I enjoyed a fresh veggie egg white omelette. The kids devoured their pancakes and waffles and then we were off to the beach! After some quality time spent on the pristine white sands of the untouched beachfront, we gathered for lunch at Casa De Brasa. This Baja brasserie sits between one of the properties six swimming pools and the oceanfront, providing a beautiful, tropical feel no matter which direction you face. Chris and I absolutely loved their grilled fish tacos and grilled shrimp chopped salad, in addition to their made-to-order guacamole (a must-have when visiting Mexico). Between the activities and outings throughout the afternoon, we worked up an appetite for a quick snack at Ginger's, a grab-and-go cafe. Chris ordered the berry smoothie, I had the matcha tea, and the kids indulged in the homemade gelato (more than once!). For dinner that evening, we sat under the stars and dined al fresco at Limón, a farm-to-table restaurant nestled in the middle of a lemon tree grove. The energy and ambiance of Limón provided a truly immersive experience, with live music, a warm breeze off the ocean, and lemon trees adorned with lights and lanterns. We spent our last night feasting on a fresh spread of carnitas, Spanish chorizo, lobster tail, and a marinated farm chicken in a mole sauce-- absolutely divine from start to finish. I think it's clear we highly recommend exploring the beautiful beaches of Four Seasons Los Cabos at Costa Palmas the next time you book your much-deserved getaway, but in case it isn't, we'd love to chat with you more about their legendary service, which will provide you with legendary memories. Pack your digital bags and follow us on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook as we explore each destination! • ZADUN RITZ-CARLTON, LOS CABOS, MEXICO

We love the Ritz Carlton hotels and resorts - we always have. As the "gold standard of hospitality," it's invaluable to know that wherever our travels take us, the Ritz Carlton will make us feel right at home. Zadun Ritz Carlton in San Jose del Cabo, Mexico delivered upon this gold standard! Stepping into our room was like stepping into a painting come to life. Directly across from us was an uninterrupted wall of glass that offered a never-ending view of the sea, with the most beautiful gradient of blues and greens we'd ever laid eyes on. In fact, all 115 rooms at Zadun offer these spectacular views of the waters beneath. As you know, Chris and I are both tall (he may have a few inches on me), so we appreciate rooms with a little extra living space. The rooms at Zadun Ritz Carlton are quite generous and provide an outdoor living area that serves as an extension of your room. The rooms are designed in warm, neutral tones with shades of blue, mirroring the pristine beaches and waters right outside your window. Something you'll find both in the living quarters and across the entire property is decorative objects and art created by local artists all over Mexico--a really thoughtful and authentic touch. As wellness is one of the pillars of our daily life, we snuck away to the gym midday to break a sweat. As we entered the fitness center, we were immediately greeted by the yoga and HIIT area ahead, as well as a lap pool to our right (a great option if the other resort pools are at capacity!). I hopped on the treadmill before hitting the weights, while Chris took his workout to the beach to pump up his arms before laying oceanside. We felt like we earned that beach time after burning some calories! As if laying on the beach isn't relaxing enough, we were eager to experience Zadun Ritz Carlton's spa, Spa Alkemia. As they say, "Here, one can transform physically and emotionally." I was absolutely thrilled to discover that they offer Templo De Calor, traditionally known as Temazcal, which is an energy clearing ceremony and botanical scrub that takes place in what looks like an igloo, but generates heat--it's one of my favorite rituals! Afterward, I selected the Radiant facial, which includes a double exfoliation mask, balancing mask, and crystal wand facial massage that left my skin glowing and refreshed! Chris thoroughly enjoyed the vibrating meditation floor (it worked wonders on his head and back) before his Zadun massage, where he was able to select the skin-nourishing essential oils he preferred. We're always pleased with our culinary experiences when we stay at the Ritz, so we were excited to see what Zadun's restaurants had in store for us! We began our morning at Candil, a beautiful bar where you'll find a Master Barista in the mornings waiting to prepare your custom latté. Hand-blown glass hangs from the ceiling perfectly framing the beautiful view of the outdoors. If you don't need a dose of caffeine to jumpstart your day, be sure to check back and experience Candil at night as they serve over 100 labels of mezcal and tequila along with beautifully crafted cocktails, like their mixologist's signature drink, the Nauyaca. For lunch we dined at El Barrio, which was just as much a feast for our eyes as it was our appetites. Singing the culture of Mexico, this outdoor restaurant is full of vibrant colors from the fuschia bar to the cantelope orange benches. In fact, executive chef Rodrigo Torres scoured the country when designing the aethetic of each Zadun Ritz Carlton restaurant for the perfect artisan-made pieces (and it shows). Chris ordered the signature margarita and grilled fish tacos, while I enjoyed the beans and avocado bowl. After lunch, we spent a glorious afternoon on the beaches of the Sea of Cortez and worked up an appetite for some light, afternoon fare (and libations, of course!). X, their adults-only lounge, was the perfect spot to satiate our desires. With a menu that changes daily based on that day's catch from the local fisherman, you're bound to enjoy a ceviche fresher than you've ever experienced. We capped off our evening with dinner at Humo, the signature restaurant of Zadun Ritz Carlton. The utilization of fire is the focus of the Humo kitchen, paying homage to Latin American cuisine, where they believe the element extracts the true flavor of the dish. We dined while watching the chef prepare our meal from the viewing kitchen, but if you're looking for something even more intimate, they'll arrange a private dining experience for you in their walk-in wine cellar, La Cava. If you're looking to experience first-class luxury while taking in Mexico's true heritage, book your next trip to the beautiful Zadun Ritz Carlton in San Jose del Cabo, Mexico! • THE CAPE - A THOMPSON HOTEL, LOS CABOS, MEXICO

The Cape, a Thompson Hotel in Cabo San Lucas: a getaway where the energy is palpable, the drinks are flowing, and the music never dies! This ultra-trendy resort is a prime spot for spring break, bachelor/bachelorette parties, or just about anything worth celebrating. Our suite was spacious, yet cozy, providing a perfect space for Chris, the kids, and me to retreat to between outings. We had a stunning view overlooking "Love Rock" near downtown Cabo San Lucas, which we enjoyed from our private plunge pool on our balcony. Designed with neutral tones, various textures, and modern fixtures, the overall vibe of our suite was midcentury masculinity with sleek sophistication. Since the best way to start our days (both on vacation and at home) is by getting our bodies moving, Chris and I headed to the on-site fitness center, where we were pleasantly surprised to see expansive views of the Sea of Cortezand El Arco. The menu of class offerings included options for both indoors and out, ranging from HIIT, to beach boot camp, glutes and abs, and power yoga body sculpt. While in paradise, we chose to take our classes on the sand--after all, what's more motivating than the sight of crystal blue waters and pristine sand beaches calling your name? The one thing I was most excited to do on this trip was take Lilah for her very first spa experience, as The Cape provides a "spa kids" menu at their beautiful Currents Spa. In preparation for our mommy and me spa experience, they set us up in a dual room, where I selected and received the Currents Massage alongside Lilah, who enjoyed the Currents Little Massage. After our massages, we threw on our matching robes and treated our skin to a few facials. I absolutely loved the Diamond Cocoon Experience Facial while Lilah enjoyed the Little One Facial. After her experience, Lilah has officially become a spa junkie! I'm so proud... The Cape offers a vast selection of activities that vary depending on the day of the week, from wine tastings with their in-house Sommelier on Mondays and Wednesdays, to pool sessions with a live DJ on Fridays and Saturdays. You can also add mezcal tastings to that list, as well as sport fishing for billfish and marlin, golf, and sailing while whale watching and snorkeling! As if that wasn't enough, there's also Cabo Adventures, which is a service available to families looking to book exciting adventures like swimming with dolphins, camel safaris, and electric biking across the beach. To fuel up for a day of adventure, we enjoyed breakfast at The Ledge, a mix of contemporary Mexican and traditional American fare overlooking the bright, white sand beaches. Chris and I enjoyed the veggie omelette and poached eggs, while the kids ate their way through the extensive buffet offerings. Their locally sourced seafood comes highly recommended, which we couldn't pass up, so we enjoyed lunch at The Ledge poolside. Chris and I ordered a spread of grilled fish tacos, fresh guacamole and pico de gallo, and their fabulous spicy tuna rolls, which I 10 out of 10 recommend! For dinner, you must check out Manta, their fine dining restaurant whose name means "blanket" in Spanish--emphasizing their Mexico, Peru, and Japan-influenced take on comfort food. We shared the sashimi, mushroom ramen, black miso fish tacos, roasted sweet potato and almond mole, and a watermelon salad with tomato, raspberry, and hibiscus chamoy. For those looking for a nightcap (or pre-dinner drinks), The Rooftop is a must- see, as it's the only rooftop bar in all of Cabo San Lucas. Their mixologist, Hector, is practically famous in these parts and makes handcrafted cocktails that go down almost too easily! The Rooftop was our favorite place to grab a drink before dinner while feeling the glow of the pink and orange sunset on our skin--the most beautiful sunsets we've ever seen. The Cape in Cabo San Lucas entices you with energy and keeps you with entertainment. If you're seeking a getaway with excitement from day to night, look no further and book your trip to The Cape in Cabo San Lucas! • PARK HYATT, NYC, NY

If we had to name our "home away from home" in NYC, it would be the Park Hyatt New York. Nothing quite beats the energy of Manhattan, which is why staying in Park Hyatt New York's Midtown residence is a must. With Central Park just steps from our door, Chris and I can sneak away for a midday jog. When I'm seeking a little retail therapy, I can walk to the incredible boutiques on 5th Avenue. And if we're in the mood to take in some of the world's most talented musicians (When are we not?), we can stroll over to Carnegie Hall. Aside from its unbeatable location, Park Hyatt NYC has mastered the art of luxurious hospitality while providing the intimacy of home. Upon entering our suite, we were immediately drawn to the panoramic view of Midtown Manhattan's 57th Street and Carnegie Hall through the floor to ceiling glass walls. It was as if we were floating above New York City. Artwork from local artists hung from the walls of our 1,000 square foot city view suite--an impressive amount of space for even the tallest guests! Close attention to detail was paid to every amenity, from the Rivolta Carmignani bedroom linens to the heated bathroom floors and luxurious Le Labo bath products. To ensure guests can get out the door in a New York minute come morning, a Nespresso machine is provided in every suite, as well as a complimentary two-garment pressing service--a luxury perfect for business travelers, such as ourselves. While visiting various cities and countries for our business, it's vital for both Chris and I to be able to maintain our fitness routines while away from the comfort of our own gym and favored equipment, so we were pleased to find the 1,800 square foot fitness center was the home of multiple Peloton bikes, a fitness MIRROR, and Technogym cardio equipment--all of which you can access 24 hours a day. Of course we wouldn't be true wellness travel experts if we didn't do our due diligence and experience everything the Spa Nalai had to offer at the Park Hyatt NYC, so Chris and I booked one of their spacious couples spa treatment rooms for an afternoon of tranquility. We were treated to a glorious couples massage, from which we added cupping, warm stones, and manual lymph drainage to our experience. As Chris relaxed in the lounge afterward while taking in the 25th floor views, I enjoyed the fire and ice facial, a glycolic treatment created to resurface and polish the skin for a youthful, polished glow. The Living Room is an upscale, modern lounge where guests can enjoy a fresh vegetable or green juice in the morning, delicious local fare for lunch, or a romantic dinner overlooking the city lights. Chris and I appreciated the day-to-night offerings as our schedule was full of back-to-back meetings and therefore did not allow for us to venture out into the city for a meal. I chose their Spa breakfast consisting of a kale and mushroom egg white frittata, baby greens, quinoa, flax seed and tomato salad, mixed berries, and cottage cheese, while Chris enjoyed steel cut oatmeal with blueberries. After a long day of networking, we made our way back for dinner, where I ordered the brown rice vegetable bowl with grilled salmon, while Chris dined on their tuna tartare appetizer, followed by the grilled skuna bay salmon. With their ability and willingness to cater to any dietary need, you can rest assured The Living Room will make staying on track with your personal wellness regime a seamless process while traveling. Park Hyatt NYC has solidified their place in the luxury travel space, but in case we haven't convinced you yet, their exclusive Manhattan Sky Suite will do the trick. This jaw-dropping 4,200 square foot penthouse in the clouds offers guests the highest hotel view of Central Park (reason enough to reserve your stay--trust us, we toured it)! Boasting three bedrooms and three and a half baths, guests staying here are provided a private chef and butler, helicopter transportation to and from the airport, and a hand- selected master closet styled by Nordstrom, among many other offerings. Guests can reserve their stay in the phenomenal Manhattan Sky Suite for fifty thousand dollars per night. We're confident the wonderful staff at Park Hyatt NYC will be getting to know us well as we look forward to returning as soon as time allows!

  • THE COMMODORE PERRY ESTATE, AUSTIN, TX

The rich, robust colors, lush greenery, and 1920’s vibe will have you ordering an extra dirty martini at the bar the moment you arrive. The Commodore Perry Estate is a swanky, one-of-a-kind resort located on 10 private acres in Austin, Texas. The decor was carefully curated to compliment the history of the Estate, featuring jewel-toned, velvet upholstery, polished brass fixtures, and a gilded (and amply stocked) bar cart in every room. Upon our arrival to our Pomegranate Suite, Chris and I were met with a bottle of champagne and a surprise framed portrait of us in celebration of our wedding anniversary. Thoughtful gestures like this don't go unnoticed! Every detail of our suite was well thought out and complemented the incredible history of the Commodore Perry Estate architecture. We were quick to throw on our swimsuits and relax poolside under the beautiful, marigold umbrellas with matching loungers that appear to be taken straight from the set of Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. Another daily treat we partook in was their Weekday Punchbowl, where the mixologists put together a modern take on a classic cocktail recipe and serve it in an heirloom punchbowl for guests to linger around over cocktail hour. Speaking of libations, if you fancy yourself a bourbon connoisseur like Chris does, you must check out the Records and Reserves experience in the Listening Room. Every Saturday they gather guests for a curated collection of vinyl with drinks to match, ranging from limited, small batch bourbons to bubbly Pét-Nats--something for every palate. And in case you wake up on Sunday feeling the effects of the previous night's spirits, you can spend the afternoon relaxing on the Estate lawn as the chefs prepare a beautiful picnic spread for you to enjoy in the garden. As we know, Austin is known as a destination city for foodies, so Commodore Perry Estate brought in two chefs with longstanding ties to the great state of Texas, who have incredible relationships with local ranchers and farmers. From creating their very own, in-house dry-aging process for steaks, to concocting their own soy sauce using local pecans, you're sure to receive a dining experience beautifully crafted and cared for. The Estate's head chefs, Bradley Nicholson and Susana Querejazu, are currently putting their culinary masterminds together to create a spectacular menu for their signature restaurant, Lutie's, opening in 2021. After dinner, I found out one of my absolute favorite bands, the Randy Roger band, was playing down the street, so we hopped in one of the luxury 2020 Mercedes-Benz vehicles provided to us by the Commodore Perry Estate and drove to the Nutty Brown Amphitheatre to dance our dinner off. The fitness center has everything any wellness enthusiast could dream of, in addition to power yoga on the Estate lawn, sweat-inducing boot camps, and meditation by candlelight. Having just officially opened the resort this Summer, the Commodore Perry Estate spa is still under renovations, but from the sneak peek we received, we can confidently say it won't disappoint! A getaway with girlfriends, a bachelorette party celebration, or a romantic getaway with your partner are all perfect occasions to head South to Austin's charming Commodore Perry Estate.

  • BANFF JASPER, LAKE LOUISE, CANADA

Think turquoise lakes, rich wildlife, glaciers, snowcapped mountains and kilometers of protected forest all made available by our neighbor to the North! We are heading to Alberta, Canada to visit Banff and Jasper National Parks. It’s been said that every national park in Canada offers something a bit different; however, both Banff and Jasper have rivers and lakes within their borders and are celebrated for hiking, cycling, kayaking, and camping, as well as skiing (though usually backcountry skiing), and snowshoeing during snowy months. You know that these Luxury Travel Consultants embrace an active lifestyle and love to curate one-of-a-kind outdoor adventures for you that are always tempered with fantastic accommodations. This week our five-star travel takes us to explore the incredibly pristine Canadian national parks in Banff and Jasper. Banff is Canada's most famous national park, known for its large photogenic lakes, especially Lake Louise, which are popular for kayaking, as well as ski slopes, hot springs, and scenic parkways. As part of the Rocky Mountains, Banff (and Lake Louise) boast the most majestic skylines with Mt. Rundle and Mt. Cascade’s peaks on display from any angle. In town, on Banff Avenue, the main thoroughfare, you’ll find boutiques, restaurants and hotels set amid the surrounding 6,500 square kilometers of parkland. Both Banff and Lake Louise have a rich heritage as some of the world’s most awe-inspiring mountain destinations with easy access to pristine wilderness and endless outdoor adventures. WIT is here to curate your backcountry excursion, cultural outing or glacier trek in Banff’s outdoor paradise. Fairmont Banff Springs For over a century, Fairmont Banff Springs has been Canada’s Castle in the Rockies. Located on the outskirts of Banff proper in the heart of Banff National Park are 764 unique and luxurious guestrooms, from cozy rooms tucked away in quiet corners of the “castle” to spacious suites with sweeping Alberta mountain views. We love Fairmont Gold which offers a private check-in desk with all rooms on an exclusive floor, private lounge with complimentary breakfast, hors d’oeuvres, honor bar, plus snacks and beverages all served up with legendary Fairmont service. Once you arrive to the Fairmont, the amount of activities and dining options will amaze. Whatever your passion is, from a spectacular 18-hole Stanley Thompson designed course, to hiking, bowling, gondola rides up the mountain, or shopping and museum-hopping in town, you will also be treated to an array of dining options at one of the resort’s 12 seasonal restaurants and lounges. Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise Lake Louise has long been a mecca for adventures. From sleigh rides, to dog sledding, paddling, hiking and more, there is something here for every interest and fitness level. Lake Louise is famous for its turquoise lakes, the Victoria Glacier and soaring mountain backdrop. WIT has access to amazing ice walking tours, heli-hiking tours, guided hikes, biking trails and boat tours, with all the equipment, local experts and sustenance provided. Situated in the heart of Banff National Park is Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise. Boasting unobstructed views of the Victoria Glacier, the 552 rooms and suites serve as the most luxurious base camp that includes six restaurants, from casual to seasonal fine dining. Outside activities include hiking, canoeing, horseback riding, biking, wildlife tours, skating, dogsledding, snowshoeing, cross country skiing, sleigh rides and easy access to the Lake Louise Ski Resort. For something really different, let WIT plan your Ice Climbing excursion. Great for beginners scaling “crags”, to challenging multi-pitch routes for the more experienced. Either way you climb, we use only professional ice climbing guides to lead your icy adventure. Upon your return to the hotel, we love a good therapeutic Full Body Massage at the spa, as a perfect post workout remedy. The largest national park in the Canadian Rockies, Jasper is wild in every sense of the word. This expansive region of rugged backcountry trails and mountainous terrain is also home to the world-renowned Columbia Icefield. Jasper is part of the UNESCO Canadian Rocky Mountain Parks World Heritage site, one of 15 World Heritage sites in Canada. It is home to nearly 70 species of mammals (grizzly bears, moose and elk), along with thousands of plant species whose health and survival depend on the fragile ecosystems in the park. Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge Beautifully placed in the park is the historic Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge, one of the top lodge resorts in North America and celebrated for its rustic elegance. Choose from the 442 lodge suites or select from a variety of charming, heritage log cabins, including the 8-bedroom Milligan Cabin perfect for the multi-generational family trip. We love that Jasper National Park is a stargazer’s dream come true. So much so, The Royal Astronomical Society of Canada officially designated it a “Dark Sky Preserve” (an area that restricts artificial light pollution). Allow WIT to arrange for a private stargazing evening with your own personal astronomer and local storyteller for a magical evening of constellations and original lore under the milky way. WIT has very close relationships with these properties, so we can extend exclusive perks and special amenities to our clients.  Typically, you will receive complimentary breakfast for two daily, $100 or more resort credit to be utilized during your stay, room upgrade, either at the time of booking or arrival, and early check-in/late checkout, both subject to availability. • BRUSH CREEK RANCH, SARATOGA, WY

You haven't experienced the true beauty of America until you've stepped foot onto the rolling ranch hills of Wyoming under the sprawling Western sky--this I am sure of. Brush Creek Ranch in Saratoga, Wyoming is absolutely captivating. Set on more than 30,000 lush acres, the seclusion of the ranch provides a peace you simply cannot tap into when in the city. Maybe it's the uninterrupted, fiery-colored sunsets, or the endless sea of stars at night, or the sound of the horses galloping through the field carried by the wind that does it. Whatever it is, there's a tranquility and deep connection to nature that you'll feel from the moment your boots land onto Brush Creek Ranch's soil. The ranch accommodations cater to any request provided, whether you're a large family looking to stay together in a cabin residence, or a couple seeking a romantic getaway for two in a lodge room, Brush Creek Ranch offers rustic, log cabin-inspired abodes for every adventure. After taking in the breathtaking mountain views from our cabin, Chris and I embarked on the four-mile Medicine Bow Hike through the stunning Medicine Bow National Forest. The array of activities in nature is seemingly endless at Brush Creek Ranch, from wingshooting and archery, to rock climbing and golf. You'd have to set up camp for months in order to experience every activity offered throughout the property. Chris jumps at any chance he gets to fly fish, so he was thrilled to be led by fishing guide Dan through the Upper Platte River--one of the most sought after fishing destinations in the world. While Chris was out on the water, I reconnected with one of my greatest loves of all time--horseback riding. While Brush Creek Ranch offers trail rides for all skill levels, I opted for a private riding lesson with my beautiful horse, Stormy, followed by a lesson in barrel racing! One of the largest and most important components of wellness is nutrition, so during our week at the ranch we toured many of the one-of-a-kind facilities that contribute to their sustainably-focused cuisine, like their 20,000 square foot greenhouse where they grow 30 different types of vegetables, totaling 100,000 pounds of food grown every year. Nothing quite compares to sampling produce fresh off the vine! I personally loved walking through their Goatel, which is where their family of Alpine goats live on the farm--one of the highest quality dairy breeds. The milk produced by these goats is used to make scratch-made ice cream at the Medicine Bow Creamery! Considering the nature of all the outdoor activities offered, we were able to enjoy the experience of being one with nature while also reaping the physical benefits of getting our bodies moving. I hiked out to one of Brush Creek Ranch's Yurts, a 700-foot circular tent, for a yoga session in the wilderness. What is already a centering and spiritual practice was made even more tranquil by the surrounding 360-degree view of lush foothills and open sky. Afterward, I joined up with Chris as we hiked to Falcon's Peak, one of several hiking trails offered. You can choose an easy trail like Brush Creek, consisting of mostly flatlands, or an advanced option like Barrett Ridge, which covers the property's highest terrain. You can choose confidently knowing whichever path you take, you'll be led to awe-inspiring views. After hours hiking the beautiful trails of Brush Creek Ranch's sprawling grounds, I retreated to the Trailhead Spa for a little rejuvenation. I enjoyed the Medicine Bow Massage, which utilizes warm oils in combination with aromatherapy and a pressure preference of your choosing, followed by the End of the Trail Exfoliation treatment, an exfoliating salt scrub made from essential oils and salts. As the sun began to descend, we threw on our finest cowboy boots and headed to the Cheyenne Club for dinner. The history alone of this property is impressive. Dating back to the mid 1800's, Cheyenne Club was the exclusive club of the elite, where socialites, political figures, and industrial giants attended to dine on world-class cuisine, spirits, and cigars. Today this reimagined property is the home to their incredible seed-to-table dining experience, where Chef Angus sources all ingredients from the grounds’ expansive farmland, 20,000 square foot greenhouse and Wagyu beef cattle. After dinner, we were escorted to the Spirit Vault through a secret entrance. The Spirit Vault is the ultimate destination for whiskey lovers (Chris was in heaven!), as they pour from over 100 selections of rare whiskeys and bourbons which line the walls of the vault, each behind its own "locked door". When you step foot into the Spirit Vault, it's as if you've been transported to a speakeasy from the 1930's. Black lacquered walls flow seamlessly into a black lacquered ceiling, and hundreds of high-dollar whiskeys and bourbons are tucked into their own nooks within the wall, where they're backlit to illuminate their beautiful caramel hues. After sipping on the greenhouse margarita at the Saloon or sampling a tasting (or two) at the Brush Creek Brewery, Brush Creek Ranch also offers a creekside dining experience, where the chef prepares your meal over open flames as you sit alongside a soothing babbling brook. One of the most impressive tastings we've ever had was with their Lead Sommelier, Gretchen Allen, who led us through a private, 100-point wine tasting featuring exclusive varietals from all over the world in their 94-yard tunnel. Gretchen guided us through a tasting including a 2016 Dominus, 2013 Paul Hobbs BTK Vineyard, 2016 Joseph Phelps Insignia, and a 2010 Shafer Hillside Select, followed by a 2009 Chateau Cos Labory Bordeaux to compare what we had tasted in the American wines. This was truly a one-of-a-kind, intimate experience! An experience at Brush Creek Ranch will leave even the dedicated city dweller dreaming of a life in the American West.
